Kinda cool concept, but I think the same could be achieved with high rep close grip bench presses.

Yeah, they're really rare and high-tech. Few men in the world can manufacture them.
Us who are not lucky enough to work out in those gyms with these boards just gotta live with that. It's not easy.

LOL

Most of this board are stuck in only one way of training, when they see another way of training (like you) they criticize without knowing any better. These are powerlifters, using boards, chains, bands, weight releasers, etc is part of the training. We do this with all of power athletes. Triceps "hell" is used as a supplemental lift to the bench press to help break through any sticking points they may have in the bench press. We use a similar type of training with with our football players (mostly lineman) to help aid in upper body explosiveness when blocking, we sometimes combine this hand fighting and punch drills.

pyramiding up and then back down in the same set or super set in pretty awesome IMHO. Def different feeling than a simple descending set.

i bet our animal killer branch can triple this in hardcoreness. maybe a few big rusty chains on top of it?

No worse than anything else. As a matter of fact a lot easier on the elbows than an extension.

agree overhead extensions are the worst, they along with skullcrushers and even close grip bench put an excessive strain on the elbow joint and arent really any more effective for triceps development than standard incline bench or overhead presses.

Rest in peace elbows & wrist...NO. The focus is not all on them if you know how to do a exercise correctly.

Quite a few systems that take a movement from the full ROM (almost) to partials at the top range. And all in one extended set. 1 or even 2 sets max in anyone training session. I, and others, have done it in a PR, starting from the top pins at first.  But have began at the full range at the bottom (Need two pin pullers standing by..quickly). Don't ofter work back down again, like the guy said in the video. This has also been done with DL's or squats for PL'ers.

Yeah, building those boards would really require a engineering feat, something akin to building the pyramid's. Almost impossible for a normal person. Of course there's always a bandsaw/table say, screws, nails or even liquid nail but that would require way too much thinking for most GB'ers.

Its not critisizing actually.Ive trained long enough to know that anything beyond the basics is a waste of time for ME.Simply trying to beat your PB every week is alot simpler that all this shit.I dnt have any sticking points that lasts longer than a few weeks on my bench as u put it, and ive over 10yrs training, so i personally wouldnt see the point in that ;) I could maybe see the sense if he was training to failure first THEN doing shorter ranges of motion, but i dont get this

Rumour has it, the heating bill was actually paid and this was filmed in the middle of the summer, the hoody effect was added just to make the video HARDCORE!

Next they did sledgehammer drills hitting human courses instead of tires.

why dont you just stop being posers, and lift like  fucking normal person

how about this, when that guy gets to ronnie coleman circa 2003 size.........using regular traditional gym exercises like ronnie did

then he is free to start experimenting with bizarrre workouts like this to push plateaus and acheive new growth potential

until then, he is being an attention whore

this is stupid.

ladder training with partials...wtf is the board for?...it robs him of the best part of the stimulus..the reverse position at the bottom of the rep...he can rest at the top if he needs to.

fuck me the never ending procession of dumb asses is mind boggling.

Possibly he gets on the ball, establishes balance and the "trainer" (use of this term lightly) puts the bar on him.
