In THAT shot, I would be mighty tempted to give it to Yates.
I think that in that shot, Yates is much more balanced than Haney is. When I look at Haney, I tend to get drawn to his chest. With Yates, there is nothing that really stands out. So for me, Yates wins that shot.
However, I can understand why someone would give it to Haney.

i dont really thinks there are any lee haney superfans around here.........dorian definately has his share, but people are pretty ambivalent about lee, maybe cause he was so long ago

Haney had a far superior torso than Dorian.

Good picture, and a fair one for a good comparison debate. Was that from 1990 or 1991?
As big a fan as I am of Dorian, I would be tempted to give it to Haney on conditioning alone, but as insignificant is some may see it, you can't see their calves where Dorian wins hands down. Haney has a tad more mass but Dorian's thickness is starting to come through where the following year Haney would have had no chance against him.

If Haney had kept competing, he would've beaten Dorian again in 92....93 I don't think so, Flex would've also beaten Haney that year.

By 92 Yates had surpassed Haney. It had nothing to do with the greatness of Haney, but he knew it too. He had maxed out how far he was looking to take it, while Yates would continue to improve.
Look at all the pics from that contest in '91. It was very close.

I don't think Yates made much improvements from 91 to 92, it would've been much closer though. Its true Yates improved much more in 93 and that would've still been his Haney competed or not. Like I said Flex would've also beaten Haney.
I actually saw a clip from the 91 O on youtube and Haney' upperbody just killed Dorian. I know Dorian won the muscularity round, but I still saw Haney as too much for anyone on that contest.

yates was much improved the next year, even tighter and a few lbs heavier,,,,,,,, he later said he overdieted and could have showed up nearer his 93 size
