LOL. I don't know- maybe borrow a friends for the day and see what you think. Now I'm an old dude, but I try hard to stay current, and I work in a fairly technologically progressive field- but I am just hating my Phone.

Me, the missis has the iPhone and I went Droid. No regrets my phone is awesome and she wishes she had mine. The worst thing is the iPhone occasionally decides it won't work. Then starts again. The wireless hotspot was great too when. I stayed in a hotel where ypu had to pay to use the internet on your laptop. Flash capability means I can watch porn all day long.

there are a host of dual core processor android phones coming out just before/after xmas. That will blow everything on the market today away.
highlights of this new wave of superphones include:
over 150 hours of music playback from a single battery charge,
over 16 hours of high def movie playback from a single battery charge.
ability to record video in 1080p at 30fps
ability to record video in 3d .
xbox 360/ps3 levels of graphics performance - with games designers jumping on the bandwagon like never before.
ability to output a video to 3 different tv's ( can be 3 different movies at the same time or any 3 things from the phone)
the first of this new batch of superphones to be released will be the samsung nexus s ( just before or just after xmas)
which along with a dual core orion processor ( said to also be the most powerful of all the new processors, both graphically and computationally), it will also feature a stock android i.e. it will be a google phone. this means that it will be super fast and easy to modify/change till your hearts content, not to mention get updates first.

Yea lol I can text without looking at the keys. Very easy also instionctive to know when a word is not in the predictive text dictionary and you just retype it. I currently own a cheapish one but great camera and video and wifi so does me. It is the black 'Elm'

Complete Bullshit, no way the battery life of a dual core will even approach those claims.Anyway what any product out there has shown us is that hardware means squat without decent software and ui, and apple has 4x more software support plus a much better UI, adding more mhz,gb or pixels arnt changing that.

simpler doesn't mean better.
that miui demo i posted above blows away anything the iphone has in terms of useability and attractiveness.
the dual core chips are built with a completely different chip design, with added features and better memory structure, meaning better battery life due to executions being carried out quicker before a return to powersave mode. completely different design.

I have a Droid X.
Android has a little bit of a learning curve, but, once you get it, you can make the phone do anything. The only issue with the whole "open platform" is that certain things you think should be preloaded need apps to make them good. The Dolphin HD browser is great.
iPhone is fantastic as well, a bit more slick right out of the box, but with the Apple limitations (which may not matter to some.)

sorry man but its not the same as the evo. the evo is made by htc and has a 4.3" lcd screen, it has a 1ghz snapdragon cortex a8 cpu, with a shitty adreno gpu and runs the sense u.i. on top of android.
the epic is made by samsung, has a super amoled 4" screen, it also has a 1ghz hummingbird a8 processor with a SGX540 GPU which has 3x the graphic capabilities of the snapdragon in the evo. it also the touchwiz iphone clone u.i. on top of android.
comparing the two is like comparing ronnie coleman to jay cutler.

have you had any gps issues with it ? or any lag ? i.e, programs do not open instantly and hang for 5-10 secs every now any again ?

my old samsung omina HD - i8910 was like that.
lasted a week on a single charge with the standard battery.
and you could watch 4 tv shows or 2 movies before it would conk out.
it had a great camera too :'(
too bad i gave it to my little brother.
but then again it was symbian - a very very poor u.i. experience.

update.... i went to apple today, i didnt' buy my iphone direct thru apple, rather with the local wireless provider. i showed them the destroyed phone, and they replaced it on the spot. brand new one. still the shitty battery and poor reception, but customer service is fantastic.

I think I get myself the ntc desire - I've had a look at it yesterday and its pretty awesome, I dont like the Iphone4 my wife has one.
My old mobile phone is end of life just cracked the screen two days ago :( - I was thinking of getting the ntc desire Z or ntc desire HD but
I heard that the overall battery life is not that good and you need to recharg all the time.
I'm not sure why some here say the ntc desire has a bad resolution I thought it was as good as the Iphone.

My dog seems to be tolerating carprofen pills well. Ask your vet about getting a baseline done before starting the drug so you'll have something to which to compare later organ function tests. Btw, urine analysis is a more sensitive detector of kidney dysfunction then blood, so I'm not sure if a pre-drug baseline is useful there.
I also mix in fish oil with his food and, most importantly, moderate his exercise (intensity and duration). Weight loss is essential if your dog is overweight.
Some people like cartrophen injections (sounds similar but a totally different drug than carprofen) for osteoarthritis so you could look into that too, but I noticed no difference with it.
Btw, be sure to confirm that it's arthritis and not an injury like an ACL tear.

I've owned a number of HTC phones! Was a big supporter of the Windows Mobile OS. But slowly realized how unresponsive it is, so I made the switch to Blackberry.
Never tried the new Windows OS because all the phones are touchscreen - and I'm not a fan!

i would not touch it personally.
very limited in what it can do, near zero homebrew scene, with the first of these 'jailbreak' programs 'chevron' being removed already due to bricking ability.
hardware is also very limited.
they basically have copied the iphone model of 3 years ago ::)
it will improve over time, but as it stands i can not recommend it.

I give my dogs fish oil capsules...they just eat them like a treat. Initially you may need to poke them w/a pin and squeeze out some of the oil so they can taste it...after that they will gobble them up. (got that info from Flower)

Man, everytime I go to my relative's house in a rural part of the East coast, and it's located in a gully, I will have NOOOOOO reception...in fact, we have to stop on top of hill to send all calls/texts...before going to the house or walk up a hill to make or recieve calls or texts----yeah AT&T, more bars than anyone else, and less dropped calls...please ::)

You can jailbreak again, the jailbreak is available to all firmwares.
You can upgrade or *downgrade firmwares any time you want.
In fact every time Crapple release an update, the jailbreak comes in the next day.
* As long you have the blobs "SHSH" saved. 3GS and Iphone 4 require the blobs to downgrade.
* Blob requirement only if you are running firmware 4.x.x, if not you are ok.

Nokia 6700 classic is the way to go for me, Crome.
It had 5mpixl camera, Hd sound quality, easy/fast internet acces, you can send&text messages while listening to music... and it looks stylish.
iPhones are good for saying "look i have an iphone", other than that it sucks.... messages takes forever, I can type messages with my eyes closed.
I wouldn't have bought this phone if I didn't lose my phone every other year... that's my 7th phone since 2004.

motorolla olympus - dual core tegra 2 android phone - 4"+ screen. 150 hours of music playback, 16 hours of movie playback.
to be released at end of jan.

there are a host of dual core processor android phones coming out just before/after xmas. That will blow everything on the market today away.
highlights of this new wave of superphones include:

ability to record video in 3d .
xbox 360/ps3 levels of graphics performance - with games designers jumping on the bandwagon like never before.

the first of this new batch of superphones to be released will be the samsung nexus s ( just before or just after xmas)
which along with a dual core orion processor ( said to also be the most powerful of all the new processors, both graphically and computationally), it will also feature a stock android i.e. it will be a google phone. this means that it will be super fast and easy to modify/change till your hearts content, not to mention get updates first.
the others are the motorolla olympus and lg star - both of which feature an nvidia tegra 2 dual core - these will be released in feb.
if you do not like the stock android look - the beauty of it is you can change it for any other look/u.i.
one of the best at the moment is called MIUI, which combines the best of android with the best of the iphone.

The tech boom makes me laugh. I'm not anti-tech, but it's really the communication craze that makes me laugh. From Alexander Graham Bell to the present we have all become ridiculous with our handheld gadgets. Back when pagers first came it out it made sense for doctors and other professionals with emergency situations in their work to have one on them....it aided their careers and the clients/patients they served. Then every kid on the street had a pager (if not multiple pagers) on them. Today everyone's gotta have a handheld computer/media center.....makes me laugh.

it really depends on what you will use it for.
android has more bells and whistles, like live wallpaper, snes emulators etc and can view any video/audio format with the right software for watching movies etc just by dragging and dropping. it also has a great big screen and metal body 8)
iphone is a great phone, great for mms, great calander etc, great for music and movies if you like using itunes. but you cant drag and drop .avi's and the like. it has a great video camera and still pic camera too. but to get the better programs you need to jailbreak it - which is a risk. ceramic case and small screen ( although super bright, clear and with great colours)
if you just want a great reliable phone with no need for extras go with the iphone, if you want a good phone with the odd hiccup but much more options go with the desire hd.

a querty keyboard solves this problem as does a bigger screen ( neither of which are available in an iphone).

The implementation of flash on this app saves battery. But yes it will drain the battery more then no flash.

i was expecting a dual core superphone. :'(
i think apart from the curved screen its pretty ugly too compared to the desire hd and any other htcphone for that matter.
so if anyone is thinking of buying it, dont.
buy a epic 4g ( which will be cheaper now) and wait a few weeks till the boys at xda rip the software and add it to the epic.
you will have the same phone.
or wait for the dual core samsung with the 4.3" super screen or the tegra 2 phones.

basically its a galaxy s with vanilla android a slightly better flash ram, and gps, blutooth, and nfc chip.
i was expecting a dual core superphone. :'(
