Nope. Those countries in Middle East and in Africa are basically full of shit and have always been. They kill each other year after year, decade after decade...
This doesn't effect civilized world any way.
If I were a president, I would nuke few of those countries as my first job and see if the others calm down finally after that 8)
-
i like how the main stream news doesnt say why they are protesting, just that America should worry about terrorist.
i wish i could slap every reporter in the face for telling lies and selling fear and hate

Word out of Egypt now is that they have completely shut down the internet for everyone in egypt.. If anyone tries to go online they get an error page
http://www.nytimes.com/2011/01/29/technology/internet/29cutoff.html?src=busln (http://www.nytimes.com/2011/01/29/technology/internet/29cutoff.html?src=busln)
Egypt Cuts Off Most Internet and Cell Service
Egypt has cut off nearly all Internet traffic into and out of the country in the largest blackout of its kind, according to firms that monitor international data flows.
Cellphone networks were also disrupted. Vodafone said in a statement on its Web site that “all mobile operators in Egypt have been instructed to suspend services in selected areas.” The company said it was “obliged to comply” with the order.
Egypt has been trying to contain growing protests that have been fueled in part by videos and other information shared over social networks like Facebook and Twitter.
Renesys, a Vermont-based company that tracks Internet traffic, said that just after midnight Cairo time, or 5 p.m. New York time, Egyptian authorities had succeeded in shutting down the country’s international access points.
“Almost nobody in Egypt has Internet connectivity, and there are no workarounds,” said Jim Cowie, the company’s chief technology officer. “I’ve never seen it happen at this scale.”
“In a fundamental sense, it’s as if you rewrote the map and they are no longer a country,” said Mr. Cowie. “I never thought it would happen to a country the size and scale of Egypt.”
In most countries, the points of access to the global Internet infrastructure are many and distributed. But Mr. Cowie said that Egypt was relatively late in widely adopting the Internet, so it has fewer access points. The government can shut these down with “six, or even four phone calls,” he said.
A Facebook spokesman, Andrew Noyes, said the company had seen a drop in traffic from Egypt since Thursday. “Although the turmoil in Egypt is a matter for the Egyptian people and their government to resolve, limiting Internet access for millions of people is a matter of concern for the global community,” he said in a statement.
In an interview, Mr. Noyes said the company was still seeing some traffic coming in from Egypt, but that it was “minimal.”
An executive at Google, the owner of YouTube, which activists have used to disseminate videos of the protests, spoke out against the shutdown.
David Drummond, the company’s chief legal officer, said Internet access was “a fundamental right, and it’s very sad if it’s denied to citizens of Egypt or any country.”

What a surprise this thread turned out to be about nuking the middle east and terrorists, brainwashed americans fighting for oil money thinking its against terrorism and obviously the population is buying it. This is not about you ffs.
Jihadist meltdown!

yeah, cause were just rolling in "oil money" what ever the fuck that is. brutal kindergarden hippie logic. ::)
talk about brainwashed

Truth has to be said for no power must be able to silence us, human kind that is. If you find it uncomfortable then perhaps you must challenge your own political views.
Don't go the Tbombz/devilsmile/know-it-all holier-than-thou route.

Totally man totally everything is a "knee jerk" reaction in that area. I'm working on my car now to reduce oil comsumption. I'm just sad for the guys this will reduce hoe availabilty in the area.
-
I don't mean to come across as arrogant, sorry. But do you seriously think you were looking for WMD and freeing Iraq from Saddam?
I'll bet you're one of those people who will say that Americans do too much meddling in world affairs yet now you're crying that we aren't meddling or caring enough. ::)
-
Haha I ask you a sincere question but you opt for the "I bet you're blabla" route yet have the audacity to call me houlier than thou, haha you are something else.
Your question is completely irrelevant to this thread. Hope this helps.
My question, on the other hand, was pretty relevant. America gets chastised for meddling too much and yet now the Muslim world (who hates us) is waiting with baited breath for us to stick our nose in. Hilariously hypocritical, as usual. You even seem to be genuinely butthurt that we aren't fawning over the Egyptians attempt to replace one dictator with another (most likely from the Muslim Brotherhood).
-
Who is waiting for you? No one! But Im sure youll hijack the situation anyway and put some puppet regime in.
Let that anti-American rage shine through, mujahideen. If no one is waiting for us then why are you teary-eyed that we're not fawning over the rioters in this thread? And they're waiting for us. They're waiting to see if we'll throw our support behind the protesters or not. Ironic considering next week you'll be back to ranting about how much we meddle in world affairs.
But I'm sure it will be better when the Muslim Brotherhood manipulates their way to the leadership and implements Sharia Law across once-secular Egypt should these riots get anywhere.
-
another Islamic government soon.welcome to Muslim Brotherhood :-\
world will end.
-
another Islamic government soon.welcome to Muslim Brotherhood :-\

We just need to nuke a few of those dirty shit hole countries and the rest of the dogs will calm down.
-
Im not anti American. I am anti-global corporatism. The original ideas and thoughts behind the US constitions etc were beautiful, but everything has changed. Why am I talking to you anyway? Its like talking to a brick wall, you are sooo afraid the muslims its freaky, go fight in the war champ instead of sitting here behind a keyboard bitching about it. Once again fuck you I am neither muslim or anti American.
Bitter jihadi meltdown. But yes, America is the only place in the world with corporations. Aren't you majoring in business? Chances are you'll be working for one of those corporations. But you go ahead and act like you're sticking to your guns, champ.
If our support or opinions don't matter then why are you so upset that this thread turned into a joke?
-
Yes I am a business student. I figure I cant change shit so I might as well get mine, ignorance is bliss you know. The only thing I dont like about America or americans is your sometimes INSANE sense of entitlement.
We just take what we want..... ;D

This is why folk like you are such nimrods.
Know one thinks we should sit there and do nothing, but you fucks do it at the wrong fucking times and are too fucking stupid to get that.
You had the public support in 91 not 03, yet you act suprised that you've lost all the public support over a 12 year period.
These countries want help now not in 12 years when they come across some more oil. No one thinks america should sit by and do nothing, most rational people with strongly agree though that 2003 was a bad time to enter iraq
And show Xerxes more respect on the matter not only is a respected western poster, he does have a direct connection on the region. And please don't tell me you've been across and understand the middle east because you've see it as a soldier, hardly a blanced viewpoint. His view point is pretty common in the region so don't pretend like what his opinions are aren't real.
-
What a surprise this thread turned out to be about nuking the middle east and terrorists, brainwashed americans fighting for oil money thinking its against terrorism and obviously the population is buying it. This is not about you ffs.
Oh no, bro. There are people all over the world who are fed up with this Middle East bullshit that has been going on for decades.
It's not just Americans. People in so-called western countries and in Russia, some Asian countries etc. are all just plain tired of them! Most probably wouldn't mind if few nukes would hit for example Egypt, Iran...
See, who the fuck wants those terrorists to keep blowing themselves up at airports, on streets etc? Nobody.
I can't see how few nukes would make any harm. Heck, nukes ended WW2 - they could end this shit also.
-
He will quiet the masses with free thongs and synthol injections.
This is why debating with you is such a joke, you expect your viewpoints to be taken somewhat seriously yet soon as someone else starts talking you turn it into a joke.
Regardless its safe to say you'd rather keep views unbalanced, stick to a reactionary policy where are you gotta do is do better than those dirty liberals and that's good enough.
I'm fucking conservative as fuck almost ultra conservative, and yet I can't pretend for a second that corruption caused the Iraq war to be a complete disaster in the middle east.
You can spout your defense all you want fact of the matter there is less than 200 million people that will buy it, and close to a billion rational educated people that don't buy it.

Lol most muslim countries with the exception of Iran saudi arabia, and pakistan can stand this shit either. Egypt is definetly on the list of countries that has a large portion of the pop that is sick of this bullshit.
What you nimrod don't get is that the civil side that is pretty much like us, won't thrive when the state is in dissarray. \
American's didn't do there homework in Iraq, and they got burned along with their name. Even tony blair is regarded as a war criminal atleast on paper to many brits.

this is one of the biggest tragedies in all human history -who knows how much has been lost/swept under the rug just so hawass and his egyptologist fraternity could save face and keep things in line with his stubbornly nationalist views.
knowledge about the origins of human civilization that could fundamentally alter everything we know about history and ourselves lies there under the tight control of these douchbags.

Hahaha good work ontopofmen, his dad is a millionaire. But he does have a point though this is what causes more conflict and shit, revolutions are fucking bad, they never work, unless you count america which took nearly two hundred years for "all men to be treated equal".
Let me say this again REVOLUTIONS ARE FUCKING BAD.
You want change you need gradual steps, and this whole student protest shit just makes it worst, as they all want the government overthrown. What you need is surgical changes to governments to insure the rule of law so that business can flourish, democracy is more dependant on companies and lobby groups than anything else. If there aren't enough rich powerful companies like in the states, there's no way to insure that, the economy stays afloat.

Revolution happen as everything constantly changes. Now, these revolutions are often a lot less revolutionary than thought in the first place.

that would be evolution would it not? Revolution is rapid change, and rapid change is bad in economics, very bad. Even something like free energy which appears to be a great thing would cause the world stock markets to colaspe if it were announced tomorrow.

Ego, can make or break a man or a country. I don't see it has taking away from Egypt's greatness, only adding to it. I have to find that video, it was filmed back in 1998. Edgar Cayce way back in 1920-1940 had said during a DTM (Deep Trance Meditation) session that there would be a Hall of Records found underneath a paw of the Sphnyx in the mid 90's and would be unearth approx in 1998....Sure enough, someone happened to do a ground scan, or wahtever it's called back in 1996 and found that there was a huge cavern underneath the Left paw I believe...
Edgar Cayce is the same one that said that part of Atlantis would be found in the Bahamas in 1968...which the Bimini Rd was found at that time.
Apparently there is another "Hall of Records" in Peru

Strictly speaking, it was the North which left. The Confederacy just wanted things to remain as they had been.
If I remember right, y'all lost a few critical battles and the French backed away. It really could have gone either way.

Even still the Brits and the Franch were licking their chops...had the South won, it would have meant a very weak North easy for the taking, and a weak South as well. I am glad it panned out the way it did...

There is a mockumentary out there, available on Netflix, that is a kind of humorous view of what would have happened had the Confederacy won the war of Northern Aggression.
This Cairo thing could be the spark of America/Israel vs. Arabs. It's their land, remember. Oh that's right, we don't care about such things.

WikiLeaks: U.S. Gov‘t ’Secretly Backed’ Egyptian Dissidents Plotting Regime Change
Secret U.S. diplomatic dispatches released by the WikiLeaks website seem to suggest that the American Embassy in Cairo was quietly aiding young Egyptian political dissidents who were plotting to overthrow President Hosni Mubarak and install a democratic government in 2011, the UK’s Telegraph is reporting.
According to the Telegraph, American embassy officials helped at least one young dissident attend a U.S.-sponsored summit for political activists in New York while simultaneously working to keep his identity secret from Egyptian state police. Upon his return to Cairo in December 2008, the activist reportedly told American diplomats that an alliance of opposition groups planned to overthrow Mubarack before the country’s 2011 national elections.
In addition, diplomatic cables published by WikiLeaks show American officials pressuring the Egyptian government to release other dissidents who had been detained by police.
The US government has previously been a supporter of Mr Mubarak’s regime. But the leaked documents show the extent to which America was offering support to pro-democracy activists in Egypt while publicly praising Mr Mubarak as an important ally in the Middle East.
In a secret diplomatic dispatch, sent on December 30 2008, Margaret Scobey, the US Ambassador to Cairo, recorded that opposition groups had allegedly drawn up secret plans for “regime change” to take place before elections, scheduled for September this year.
The memo, which Ambassador Scobey sent to the US Secretary of State in Washington DC, was marked “confidential” and headed: “April 6 activist on his US visit and regime change in Egypt.”
It said the activist claimed “several opposition forces” had “agreed to support an unwritten plan for a transition to a parliamentary democracy, involving a weakened presidency and an empowered prime minister and parliament, before the scheduled 2011 presidential elections”. The embassy’s source said the plan was “so sensitive it cannot be written down”.
Ambassador Scobey questioned whether such an “unrealistic” plot could work, or ever even existed. However, the documents showed that the activist had been approached by US diplomats and received extensive support for his pro-democracy campaign from officials in Washington. The embassy helped the campaigner attend a “summit” for youth activists in New York, which was organised by the US State Department.
Cairo embassy officials warned Washington that the activist’s identity must be kept secret because he could face “retribution” when he returned to Egypt. He had already allegedly been tortured for three days by Egyptian state security after he was arrested for taking part in a protest some years earlier. …
The documents released by WikiLeaks reveal US Embassy officials were in regular contact with the activist throughout 2008 and 2009, considering him one of their most reliable sources for information about human rights abuses.

Fuck Lincoln....talking that shit and wouldn't let the South peacefully secede...
Lincoln and the Union became the ultimate in hypocrites when they declared war on the southern states. in the height of ironies, they simply replaced the tyranny of the english with their own tyranny as they babbled on about 'freedom' and 'heroically saving their tyranny over all the states the Union' ::)

American TV media is running a reel of the same 100-500 people surrounded around a tank. What a joke. If this was as bad as "they" say, there would be massive amounts of people/footage of uprisings. The book/movie 1984 all over again :-\

I support the push for democracy in Egypt! But this uprising is not for democracy, this is a protest to get rid of Mubarak tomorrow! Ask any of the protesters what's the plan after that, they will all sit there and scratch their nuts unable to answer you. Mubarak as corrupt as he is kept the country stable, no wars, peace with israel, controlling the muslim brotherhood, keeping good ties with the US, foreign investment in Egypt, all things that benefited the country.
I want a change, but I don't want it like this, the city is in flames, looting, vandelism, and people taking 6 and 7 year olds to the protest. Its easy to jump on the bandwagon and say down with Mubarak, but use your head and look at the big picture.
And internet is still down there as well as cell phone service, land lines are still working though (I'm online because I'm studying and live in the US at the moment)

Egyptian government isn't going anywhere! Sorry "freedom fighters". ::)

Yep! Mubarak isn't going anywhere, that was the whole point of his speech! People think its so easy to overthrow one of the strongest governments and militaries in the Middle East, I think they got a wake up call. But its funny how even more pissed off the people are now after his speech!

Their standards of living are declining. It's the only thing that will get people off their lazy asses these days. Witness the austerity protests elsewhere in Europe.
Best solution? STOP HAVING SO MANY KIDS.

Gee, so North Am Blacks aren't the only ones who do this? ::) ;D
Sad, but on the real, when everything calms down, this might let the establishment know to listen to the people---or this will mean a total crackdown on the people...
