Its all just smoke and mirrors, both parties are buddy buddy backstage.  Like Jesse Ventura said, left/right politics is all staged, just like pro wrestling.  They hate eachother when they are out front on stage, then behind the scenes they are best buds and go out for drinks together after the show.
