I don't understand this story all the way yet - The repub was up 55 to 25%, just a few months ago. huge backloash for a proxy battle over who decides if Walker's budget goes thru. This one matters. The lib wins, celebrates, then news comes of 14k missing votes which give the Repub a huge win.
Now we're seeing these votes may have been manipulated, hidden, disappeared - then their existence was known to bloggers before state employees? This story is gonna be a good one.
Keep in mind this comes from the group that admitted they considered inseting violence into protests to win political points - would changing polling station numbers be any worse than lighting a people powder keg?

Call for Federal Investigation into Vote Count Irregularities in Waukesha County
........................ .......
While it is far too early to judge all the facts of the situation, there are so many apparent discrepancies and contradictions in the currently available fact-base that a full, impartial, and independent investigation is clearly warranted. These warning signs that should trigger a full and independent investigation include:
· During her press conference Waukesha County Clerk Kathy Nickolaus claimed this was an open and transparent process. Yet According to Nickolaus she found out about this at noon yesterday. She then sat on this information for 29 hours before disclosing it.
· According to 3 observers who attended the county vote canvass, the issue of 14,315 additional votes from Brookfield never came up in the room.
While it was hidden from the people in the room, others involved in the process, Charlie Sykes, a representative of the Wisconsin Policy Research Institute, National Review, and conservative bloggers had the story hours before it was announced

do you have anything to add to this discussion, aside from silly pics and "lolzers"?
Is it common for 14000 votes to go missing? An entire town?
I have worked the last 4 elections... same thing every time. The workers DO NOT GO HOME until they have the numbers posted to the state, and to the door for public consumption/media reporting/polling.
I just think it's funny - someone had to know this county hadn't reported when it said 100% had reported. Did these people go home and sleep without reporting? Was someone cheating?
It breaks protocol in a very close election. If Charlotte county, FL, pulled this shit in 2012, and it ended up being 90/10% obama, giving the dems a win in FL and another 4 years in office, I doubt it'd be silly gifs and "lolzercopters".

Republicans "find" 7,582 votes for Prosser
The Political wing of the Tea Party Terrorists have found 7,582 votes for their pet Wisconsin Supreme Court candidate.
The Clerk involved took her computer systems off the State network so vote tallies could not be verified.

Waukesha County Clerk Kathy Nickolaus' decision to go it alone in how she collects and maintains election results has some county officials raising a red flag about the integrity of the system.
Nickolaus said she decided to take the election data collection and storage system off the county's computer network - and keep it on stand-alone personal computers accessible only in her office - for security reasons.
"What it gave me was good security of the elections from start to finish, without the ability of someone unauthorized to be involved," she said.
Nonetheless, Director of Administration Norman A. Cummings said because Nickolaus has kept them out of the loop, the county's information technology specialists have not been able to verify Nickolaus' claim that the system is secure from failure.
"How does anybody else in the county know, except for her verbal word, that there are backups, and that the software she has out there is performing as it should?" he said. "There's no way I can assure that the election system is going to be fine for the next presidential election."
Nickolaus is a former staffer for the Assembly Republican Caucus who was granted immunity in the investigation into allegations of illegal campaign activities on state time.
The Republican now claims she failed to properly save a spreadsheet after inputting the Brookfield numbers Election Night.
