interesting, my buddies parents had a boxer i would dog sit every now and again who was never scared of thunder until he got older but it got to the point where he would try and climb into your lap if their was loud thunder going on.

My cat hates the loud thunder and lightning and gets all the way in the back of my closet and meows till she gets over it

I used to try and calm her and soothe her and she'd bite and scratch to get away .. I just let her go on her way now and hope the storm  passes fast
