Was that guy pointing or gun or something?   If not - that is ridiculous.   They tossed that guy and he is bleeding.

that just crazy..you think he would have lost his job before the 5th complaint. You are spot on that it costs everyone for the actions of a few cops..

Another reason why our current system is unsustainable.

That's just insane.

Pension funds are the next bubble, as if you didn't know already...CALPERS already needed a bailout of sorts..

Nothing that shows what caused the police to do this.

Unless the guy was pointing a gun or knife at the cops, or tossing feces, I cant see what justifies that.

Neither can I.  But before i conclude anything from a partial glimpse of what happened i want to know why.

He didn't appear to be reading the Paul Ryan budget aloud, best as I can tell.

Why couldn't you legally say it?   Can't we pretty much say anything unless of course we threaten the life of the POTUS?

I am just curious about what you want to say.   :)

Revenue enhancement to pay fo the pension shortfall of the pofs giving you the ticket.  citizens are now viewed as ATM machines for the police department.

Equality.. people with handicaps don't like to be treated any differently than anyone else. So....when you have to arrest someone from a wheel chair, they get offended if you go too easy on them

But seriously, the LAST thing any patrol officer wants to do is arrest a guy in a 400 lbs wheel chair. Not only is it a PR nightmare, but you have to impound the darn wheelchair that weighs a ton. So since this video just happened to start at the moment the cops made their decision to arrest, I will have to wait to see the rest of the video before jumping on the "F**ck the pigs" side of the debate. Having been on the arresting end of a wheelchair bound person, I suspect he wasn't just tossing a chewing gum wrapper on the sidewalk.

Lol. I know.  But I just want to know why.  I am sure what ever it is, it may be spun by these cops to make it look like they were warranted, but still I would like to know.

Like 33333 was saying I can't imagine any reason outside that guy using a weapon.

If you can't get away from the guy in a wheel chair slinging a knife, you probably deserve your Darwing award anyway :D

I was. It was the same incident.

I was riding back fom Brooklyn between 3am, and 4am the only person in that subway car, I fell asleep and they basically yanked me out of the car. I was dazed and tired. I asked them why they were doing it and they told me I was loitering and I said I just fell asleep and apologised and would stay awake for the rest of ride but they started asking me for ID, etc. I then told them that I thought this was excessive and I had never committed a crime and one of them said I shouldn't be talking back to them, made me take off my shirt and jeans, down to the boxers, looking through my wallet and bag. I knew there wasn't much I could do, so I just shut up, they gave me a slip for $100 to pay, sent the money in the next day because otherwise I would have had to appear in court. Mind you, first time I ever experienced anything like that on that level. They were totally unprofessional and dickheads to boot.

Sounds excessive.  What did you do about it?

Well, the next day I debated with myself whether I should take the issue up but I just thought, shit happens. At the end of the day, $100 wasn't worth the grief. If it had been $1,000 I probably would have pursued it. The thing is, the way they acted, they gave me the impression they were just doing it for kicks or something. Very weird.  :-\

I am sure there are lots of complaints about shit like that all the time. Doubt it changes anything. NYPD is not exactly trustworthy.

So you do not recant your threats towards police officers?... ok, didn't expect a crazy person like you to do that anyway.

I disagree.  There has to be some kind of police commission (or something like that) that reviews this kind of stuff.  If enough people complain about the same bad apples, they will eventually get outed.

lol.  Yeah.  Still, it's hard to do something about illegal conduct if people don't complain about it.  The more bad cops get away with bad conduct, the more emboldened they become.
