Yes he's been saying that for awhile now. His mother is supposedly from German decent. Letterman is one of those guys who pretends not to be Jewish. Howard Stern once said to him "are you still pretending to not be Jewish" Letterman supposedly wasn't happy about the comment. Who knows who cares really. A lot of people in the media are not who they say they are.

Maybe. But you have to admit that many Jewish people look a lot alike. (hair, nose etc) No offense to anyone.
