Nah man, in the second pic (younger) he is flexing them differently. Look at the wrist. Your bicep looks shorter when you perform a regular db curl than when you do a hammer curl. The same applies here (same difference in how you flex your bi), but you're a way more experienced dude than me, I'm sure you know this already

now they look long a la levrone...
no matter how levrone flexed his arm his bis will look long and flatter..
maybe its all the mass he's aquired over the years thats throwing an illusion...

There is a pic of him doing curls with a EZ curl, with some good weight---but he has wraps around his wrists ::)
as big as his forearms are, he should have the wrist and forearm strength to handle that weight...

And I noticed that before about his biceps inserts.
