WASHINGTON (AP) — By declaring the Iraq war over, President Barack Obama scored what his allies see as a fourth big foreign policy success in six months, starting with Osama bin Laden's killing. But these events might play a discouragingly small role in his re-election bid, even if they burnish his eventual place in history.
American voters tend to focus heavily on domestic issues, especially in times of high unemployment. That will limit Obama's campaign options.

Funny how most republicans don't like Ron Paul's foreign policy, but love everything else about him, especially his domestic policy. Yet, they won't vote for him. ::)
Say hello to another four years of Obama domestic policy! :(

I think if paul was to win the primary then the reps would certainly get behind him

If the economy is still in the shitter next year does anyone really think people are going to care about killing Gaddafi or pulling troops out of Iraq?
This election is a referendum on Obama's economic policies. And that's only going to become more clear as the US trudges along in this depression.

Who cares about foreign policy when people are unemployed, homes are foreclosing and more and more people are on welfare?
You can point to "big foreign policy success" in any administration. If the situation at home is terrible, especially the economy, it is of no value to the American citizen.
Declaring the war over in Iraq over before all objectives were achieved is NOT A SUCESS.
