Title: NPC Bodybuilding Over 35 Men can now turn pro!

The MEN OVER 35 BODYBUILDING DIVISION has been added to the NPC TEEN, COLLEGIATE AND MASTERS NATIONALS and the IFBB NORTH AMERICAN CHAMPIONSHIPS starting in 2012! IFBB pro cards will be awarded to the top 2 placings in the Over 35 Overall.

The Over 35 Men Division will be added to the already existing Divisions of Men Over 40, Men Over 50, Men Over 60 and Men Over 70.

The new format allows for ALL bodybuilders to perform their routines at the FINALS!!

July 20 - FANTASTIC FEMALE FRIDAY

 Long time lurker here. My question is isnt there already a Masters class already why are they going to have another class or is there 2 Masters class now?

There are presently 4 master classes for men now, this will make 5.

They should give a pro card to the teen national winner.  It would be more relevant than giving a pro card to a 50+ year old.

Why?  A pro card is not necessarily about building a career; it is about setting a goal for yourself and reaching it.  Every year schools award bachelors degrees to people in their 40s, 50s, 60s, and 70s--and the students pay serious tuition bills for the privilege.  Again, it is not always about building a career.  If a relevant career is what mattered none these guys would be in bodybuilding; they would be doing something more, um, relevant.  ::)

It's a 1 out of 100 shot at being successful once you get a pro card, but at least the teen winner has hope.  A 1% chance of being relevant is better than the 0% chance a 50+ year old will have.

Young guys who turned pro last years look like shit and smouth and now, they are going to give pro cards to old guys who have almost finished their carrer...
They should give the pro card on a case by case basis now, as the amateur level in USA became very, very poor.

You seem to be forgetting that BB is a fringe activity with no real relevance at all. With that in mind, there is nothing wrong with encouraging old guys to hit the gym and train.
