BFG gave a brief protocol for humulin R vs Humulog, but didn't really lay out a whole days offseason plan for it nor describe the differences. Since Humulin R is OTC, I picked some up while waiting for Humulog.
Anyone wanna shed some light on this for me?

The only real difference is that Humulin R is a little bit "slower" than Humalog. It takes longer to fully kick in and longer to clear your system. So take that into consideration.

Not claiming to be a slin expert, but from the research I've done: use it pre-workout along with lots of carbs to power you through your workout. Other than that, I think it's useless during all other times of the day UNLESS you're using GH.

it's too cheap to not use. It will increase igf levels, it will help stimulate natural testosterone production, and it will decrease protein breakdown a little bit all for $20 a month at walmart. Take it if you want I say..I personally do not use it these days though cause I just fucking hate going into walmart with all these rednecks and ni##ers out here in the south:)

I'm interested in this as well. I realize the dosage would have to start low and adjust up as tolerated, but what about the timing if one was going to use it pre-workout?

At that weight I'd start with anywhere from 6-8 iu's and go from there to see my tolorence. I'll post in detail what I would do later on my friend.

hell, you'll blow up on the slin...
take slin twice a day with GH... and leave one last shot for GH before you sleep.
for example, right before breakfast, 5 iu GH 10 iu slin
right before workout, 5 iu GH 10 iu slin
before sleep, 5 iu GH
if it's your first time using slin, do it after workout instead of pre... always... AND I MEAN ALWAYS have a soda or some sugary stuff with you for 2 hours after your shot.
shoot it IM always. don't know why, and i don't care, cuz the results are much better.
with the GH, your BG will rise so you won't need that many carbs with the slin... but again, if this is your first time, keep sugar with you always
you can up the slin from there if you feel comfortable. been up to 45 iu of humalin R with 12 iu gh eod... let me tell you, it was fucking fun! LOL... serious fucking pumps all the time and always looking full.
just to note, i'm a bit resistant to insulin... so i can take 15 iu slin with 4 iu gh, not eat at all and not go hypo... you might be different, so watch out.

Very solid advice...I would also add you don't need the 10 grams of carbs per 1 iu of slin like you hear, everyone is different but most can get away with somewhere between 6-7 grams of carbs and be fine. Just be careful and listen to your body and you'll be fine. Like "Bus" said always have some glucose tabs or some type of sugar on hand just in case you go hypo. Here's what I would do:
personally i do 10iu's first thing in the morning 30 min after my gh inj. and then eat breakfast.
another 10ius 90 min before training with a shake with fast dig. carbs and 25g. of whey and then another intra shake while im working out consisting of fast acting carbs (usually about 70gr. of carbs) 10g of bcaa's and 10g of creatine the immediately post workout take another gh inj. then 30 min later eat a big meal.
2 hours pre workout - regular meal with carbs and protein
90 min pre workout - slin shot
45 min pre workout - shake with fast dig. carbs and 25g of whey protein
during workout - intra shake containing fast dig. carbs, 50g. whey, 10g creatine, 10g bcaa's.
post workout - hgh shot
20-30 min later regular meal with both fast and slow dig. carbs

How do you guys NOT fall asleep after taking GH and eating a big meal? The instructions for Humulin say not to sleep for 4 hours after, but I'm always woozy 30-45 minutes later.

just use fruit and chocolate bars to keep you off the floor if your trying to keep carbs low. Rice,pasta,sweet potatoes, oatmeal, all fucking suck for getting your sugar up. Don't know why don't know how but chocolate and fruit work best. I used a shitload of the slin in the past year or so pretty much nonstop, I think it's garbage honestly but anyways..
this shit saved my life.

Yeah i was just kidding. I guess flinstones1 can explain because I actually never heard of it either lol... whenever i took slin it was 10iu either morning and post-workout, or just 10-15iu pre-workout. I'd always have 50-60g protein and about 90-120g carbs within the first hour. Sometimes i'd made a big shake with 1 cup egg whites, 1 scoop whey, 1 cup oats, 1 banana and just sip on it. It would be about 50g pro, 100g carbs. I'd do this shake or just some eggwhites and cereal for the morning and post-workout slins admins... for the pre-workout i'd usually just sip on 1.5L of gatorade and finish it during a 2-3 hr duration.

Yeah it's not advice, just what i did. I don't use slin anymore... only will if i can afford lantus in the future... doubt i'll bother with r again. I really don't think it matter if you're on gh though.. Spike always said he ate like shit when takin slin... pizza, wendy's, chocolate, anything he wanted... if you're on aas, gh, slin, doubt it matters. just get the food in :)

Well we all know Spike got ready for shows in 6 weeks w stab wounds and whatnot. He isn't normal.
I have no doubt you can gain fat eating junk while on gh etc. No doubt at all. But somewhere lies the right combo of drugs and foods for an individual.
I've got 10 lantus pens coming. Got 60ml Humulog today. Have the Humulin R too. So I'm gonna mess around w all of them individually then combine lantus w Humulog. I'll find the sweet spot.

after 1 month off right now, I am still the same size mostely but this week I lost the veins and "hardness".

yeah I would eat low fat around slin injections, but that's just me.
I know one off-season where I looked absolutely disgusting and I was eating whatever I wanted with my slin

Good point lol Well I can say is what I would do, personally I'd keep my fat intake somewhat low around those times...but I will say there's a lot of myth to the "DON"T EAT ANY FAT" especially healthy fats (good fats). The only must is having some type of safety net like sugar always on hand just in case it (slin) hits you and you get a little hypo. The only fat I wouls stay away from completely is fried food, saturated fat and empty calories (french fries, chips etc.)
