Saw some vids on youtube but those could be biased.  Looks cool but the range is pretty low.

why is that?  Has a top speed of 88mph.  Plenty of speed for off road riding.  Just can't go all day which sucks.

Loud exhaust pipes give me erections.

Off road riding isn't about top speed. It's about power delivery and where the power is. Bottom end, mid-range, top end.  These bikes cant compare to a modern 450 4-stroke. I'm a motocrosser (the baddest sport on the planet by the way)though so I'm sure Joe shmoe might have fun on one of these electric bikes

Depending on the mode of tune, electric motors can be loud as hell.

what a load of bollocks!.

electric vehicles offer much better ways to deliver power where and when you want it. you can even just program your power curve straight in!- no need to change sprockets or gears or even engines.

lithium polymer cells are superior to gas engines. electric motors and controllers are superior to IC.

its the affordability and recharge thats going to make it tough- plus the gas companies ever present.

it was a serious question... Do you have to buy a new battery every year, and how much does it cost?

Is that a 250 or 400?  I had a 250 which was perfect for trail riding.  Mine was street legal as well.  Drove 30 miles to the woods and started tearing it up.

wr 450. same motor as the yz 450 but wider gear ratio (wr) for easier enduro riding.

I bet that 450 flew man.  That is a little too much power for me riding through narrow trails inches away from trees.  My buddy had a 600 enduro ( can't remember the brand)  but that had some serious balls.  Rode it in some sand flats and had a ball (no homo).  Damn I wish I still had mine.  The problem is finding a place close by to ride instead of driving over an hour away.

powerwise it is similar to my old 250 2 stroke, but with more 'user friendly' power.

To many bugs to iron out for almost 15 grand. Just like the flat screen TV. Throw away's after a few years.

The Brammo and Moto-Cyzsz stuff they race in the TTXGP and at the Isle of Man is kinda cool, but it doesn't replace the sound and smell of IC.
