Mccain said it best at that comedy roast dinner in 2008.  "Whoever gets elected, we'll just follow our marching orders..."

His senility let that slip but it's the truth.  We would have seen 8 smaller stim bills of $100 bil instead of once for $787 billion.
He would have pushed for the same amnesty, etc. 
The border gun running would have been the same, it just would have been a repub appointed version of Holder playing dumb now.
