Title: Newt cried today in an interview
Post by: 240 is Back on December 30, 2011, 02:09:01 PM
Newt broke down crying today when asked about his mother in a Q.

Was this a magical spontaneous moment of openness....

or a tired 68 year old knowing he's about to lose and emotionally wrecked...

or... ala Hilary in NH 2008, was it a calculated moe to try to win women voters?  ;)

You never know.  Even for a person so self-centered, the thought of a dead mother may be the one thing that grabs hold of his moral sentiments.

The softer side of a serial adulter and all around scum bag.

He is falling in the polls so he cries over his dead mother before a group of women?  You cannot be that naive?  I can see him being coached to do it by a slimely consultant like Karl Rove and even rehearsing the performance.  If this were John Boener I'd buy it; we have all seen him cry at the drop of a hat... But Newt?  Please.  ::)

Sort of like when obama fakes a southern black accent in front of black crowds so he can try to fool them that he is "one of them"? ? ? ?

If you want to make threads attacking Obama go right ahead.  But in this thread you are merely making a fool of yourself.  Disparaging Obama in a thread about Newt crying is not going to make Newt look more genuine.  And it only serves to make you look deficient.  :-[

Wow its amazing, me included, the tendency when faced with an attack on someone you support or whatever to post up something about someone you don't support attacking them instead to perhaps neutralize or quantify the original attack.

We all do it.  Why?

Can't we just agree, for the purposes of this thread, that Newt is a scum bag?  Or are you one of the ones who believe he's genuine?

You could be right, no doubt about it.  But the thought of discounting someone's apparent pain in this regard is something I'm unwilling to do--even with Newt.

Newt is an old school tough guy.  I don't think he would sink as low as to cry on demand to garner votes.

This would make a great political ad though.  Show Newt crying and then have a tagline that says "America doesn't need any more Instability"

No.  Newt is not m favorite by farm and I agree he probably over did it because of the audience.    It's politics and it's stupid.   Same. BS w boehner.   However, we have been pointing out to obamabots the same exact shit Obama does all the time and it falls on deaf was all while the liberal circus act trashes newt over it.

It's the. Hypocrisy and liberal double standards that is aggravating.  Obamabots will NEVER admit to the failings and bs of their boyfriend.

Newt, tough?  I dunno.  He whines a great deal.  yesterday he threatened to SUE ROMNEY over these ads, remember?

He likes to attack, but when attacked, he cries about things not being fair.

My thought?  The weekend before an election, newts slipping, terrible with women vote... crying in front of a room full of women...

Either it's the most coincidential shit in history, or its staged.  And seeing as crying won NH for Hilary - it's staged.  period.

lol... you're serious huh?

Looked genuine?  The best politicians are usually the best liars which unfortunately usually leaves the best man for the job in a losing position. Politicians are often very good actors able to play to their target audience--that's all I see here.  Newt has a lot to lose with women considering his history.  This was staged and important at the right time and to the right audience.  This is how liars win and the honest lose time after time--a good number suckers help too.

he throws a hail mary to women... "I can cry about my mom"
he throws a hail mary to tea party... "I might make Palin my veep..."

The timing is just plain laughable.  Saturday he'll probably debut a new Ronald Reagan tattoo while test firing a desert eagle at a printed copy of the obamacare bill.

pandering at its worst.

why would I do that

you think he's faking and I think he's showing genuine emotion

It's one thing to get up and lie or say something outrageous but faking tears is hard to do and I don't think he was just waiting for a question about his mother so he could turn on the waterworks

Super PAC Buys Newt 30 Minutes Of Iowa Airtime

AP - The Republican presidential candidate's allies plan to run a half-hour television special on local Iowa stations this weekend, a last-ditch attempt to help Gingrich rebound from a slide in polls ahead of Tuesday's Iowa caucuses. The conservative media company Newsmax hired Michael Reagan, the son of President Ronald Reagan, to host the special.

I dont care about the teleprompter in that context.  The liberal hypocrisy is that Thugbama & Hitlery both do similar shit to pander to audiences and you clowns never say a word or admit their bullshit.

Difference between most conservatives and leftists is that we will admit Newt is probably overdoing it to pander to the woman and it looks stupid.   You fools will NEVER EVER admit to the phoney bullshit your messiahs pull.

Given his history I would put nothing past Newt--including convenient tears before a group of women over his dead mother.  Would you put on such a performance if it improved your chances of getting votes from women?  Whatever your answer, it is clear some people would do that.  Remember this is the same guy who dumped his sick wife on her hospital bed to chase new skirt.  Meanwhile he was trashing Clinton in public even as he carried on his own affair.

This guy is the very definition of crocodile tears!  And why not...?  Obviously there are people who will fall for it.  ::)

and once again - the left wing hypocrisy continues.   Remember Al Gores' little performance at the acceptance speech about his sister?  Was that phoney nonsense as well?

I can't deny anything you say here.

Newt has shown signs of psychopathy, so I can understand where you're coming from.

It's just a personal code that won't allow me to question a person's grief over a loved one.  I will always give such a person the benefit of any doubt.

I'm not criticising anyone else for doing it, though.  That's up to their own conscience.
