I think all kids have a copy of that book or have read it

 I had that book also 'the giving tree' 'frog and toad' ah to be young again.I read them to my boys.

I have the McFarlane figures on a book shelf, which is kind of odd because the book never resonated with me. I doubt I have a copy.
