To many terrible meaningless fights and bad match ups.
To many Events.
To many seasons of TUF
Weak divisions, particularly middle weight.
To much Dana White

Its fallen off to the point I dont even have interest in it, like that matters to anyone. I rarely even care to watch the big name fights. Im content watching an animated gif or a youtube clip. Sometimes theres up to 3 shows a month on tv and too many fighters. They need someone with a fanbase like brock/kimbo again in terms of drawing power.

MMA just like boxing isn't going anywhere.  Right now the UFC(not MMA) has saturated the public w/ too many cards and too many meaningless fights.

They'll regain their footing eventually.

Maybe, America has a short attention span...it might be that twinks will take over, American men are going thru a transformation or a transitioning period.

You forgot too many shity main events and co-main events. The cards now are worth 25 bucks including hd. Last good card I remember had tito, cung lee,and silva. It was decent anything less then 3 solid to great fights is not worth the $ IMHO

^ the card Tito beat forest and he cried back to the locker room and they still gave forest the fight

Anyone know if fox picking them up is helping or hurting? Fox is great with sports

So far it's hurting them because they're contractually obligated to provide a certain amount of shows for the Fox Network, which is adding to the dilution of the product.

Obviously you arent a big fan of the sport if you think this. Personally i cant wait for every event regardless of how many there are each month. If you like something it doesnt get boring ;)

that's true for the few hardcore fans, that's the problem it's getting to be fewer and fewer. i remember them having a big event on primetime tv they hyped the thing for 50 minutes fight lasted 50 seconds and was pretty boring. at least it was quick. if only they would have cut the hype

If you like shit, you'll gladly eat it several times a day.  I'd hate to think that I'd like something so much I'd lose all objectivity.  Sounds like you're a member of a cult not a fan of a sport

To me, the whole mma thing is like the karate thing in the 80's. early 80's, everybody was doing karate, now, no one. It's a fad, and will die like all the rest.

That Dan guy won't even get a chance to fight in the UFC.  He would have a hard time getting out of the Invicta circuit.

It can only get bigger.

I remember when there was a lot of guys who had small studio gyms. I used to train at Matt Serra's gym many years ago and then after all of the reality tv shows and mainstream tv events it grew so much that Matt now has a HUGE gym.

Everywhere you look there are mma gyms now...I doubt it will go south for quite awhile. Changing of the guard sucks..seeing guys from Pride and older UFC get obsolete sucks but the sport is evolving. I don't think anyone can argue that?

Not aat all,i dont really know many people here who watch it, so i dont watch it to talk about it with mates etc, its just my thing! Im pretty much into alot of sports here in the UK, but i dont get into any the same way as when some MMA is on TV! Football ( soccer ) is on TV pretty much every night so i have that if i want to be watching something for the sake of it, but MMA isnt on much , nor does it get great media coverage here, maybe thats why i keeps me interested. If somethings for you, then its for you, but wether its dying a slow death isnt for any of us to say, it seems to me that its growing in Europe, so id hardly say im blinded by my own opinions

i totally disagree. new talent has been injecting new life into the sport plus  taking in the WEC has added so many good fighters to the roster.
