Lift heavy (not crazy heavy, but proportionate to strength) and regular (3 to 4 times a week), 2 to 3 exercises per bodypart, 3 sets per exercise, 8-12 reps per set, and eat heaps of beans, chick peas etc (the freeze dried type) and milk + moderate amounts of meat.
Got big, lean and strong.

thanks man. Yep, i know i'd add 15 pounds back if i'd just get to the gym 5 days a week. life just been so busy lately.

a few years back... eating like a pig... lifitng 90 minutes, 5 days a week, life was good.
For me, going back just over 5 years (fuck...) where I was earning good pay, working out 6 days a week (moderate, 10-12 reps to failure) and eating a solid "bodybuilding" type diet. Gained crazy strength and a little bit of size in about 7 weeks... but then stopped... never gone back to that... in my late 20's now so the window to make those sorts of natural improvements again is short... I need to stop fucking around.

My best program for getting in shape was called "no wife, no kids, no career, no mortgage, no economic concerns, no responsibilties while being carefree, ignorant, bb obsessed and without injury in my early 20s".

BFT (the basic protocol done 4 days a week), running 3 miles 3 days a week and sparring with my kids 45 min a night ( they'd try to get me, I'd be "on my bicycle" trying to avoid getting touched. Dropped 36 lbs I6 weeks and got stronger and faster. For bodybuilder shape- 3 times a week HD with HIIT cardio.

I think full body 3 days a week when i first started and because i really did not know a lot about bodybuilding i just stuck to very very basic stuff. concentrating on a few basics were great.

Reward your good deeds in other parts of your life by setting aside an hour of 'me' time to hit the gym 4-5 times if you wanted or spend it doing something else. It depends if you actually do want to hit the gym or whether you'd rather spend it doing something else.

I tried the keto and it worked but my hair started falling out. I was very particular about my macros but I still lost hair. It came back after discontinuing.

Wendler 5/3/1 for powerlifting Mon, Wed and Fri
After each workout event training outside,
Mon 5 sets 50m farmers walk bodyweight in each hand followed by tire flip 50 flips 500lbs tire.
Wed 5 sets prowler push 5 sets 25 meters 500lbs followed by hitting a tire with a sledgehammer with 3 hammers taped together at top 4 sets 15 reps.
Fri 5 sets sled pull 5 sets 25 meters sled 250lbs followed by sandbag loading or one arm dumbell press half bodyweight for as many reps, 3 sets.
5 km walk every evening
