Data shows a slow gradual decline in gun homicides beginning in 1993 - before the Brady Bill passed - but, figures from both the control and treatment states track virtually identically. Control and treatment states had the same gun homicide rates before and after the Brady law passed. It made no discernable difference. There is no statistically significant effect.

Notice all the arguments in the thread?

This is a common sense video there really is no reasonable retort. It should be redistributed in hopes that these biological androids that walk among is today can wake up and smell the coffee.

You and I are about the same age. Things aren't like they were when we were growing up.
Today, there are more people who voluntarily support being stripped of their rights, regardless of the effectiveness or net result.
Our culture has become passive and sissified, which is demonstrated by everything from the movies we make to the leaders we elect.

Pussification of America bro.
I've noticed a shift in the populaces general attitude - away from the "We want to take care of it ourselves" school of thought, to the "The government can handle it for us, they'll protect/take care of/watch out for our best interests" school of thought.

It disturbs me.

Yeah, I was raised to be independent (even if it meant - gasp - working hard) and stand up for myself. These days, people are not only moving away from those ideals, but they're actually ridiculing them.

Ridiculing them and in some cases demanding that people be punished for it... Like the coach who's girls team went up 100-10 or whatever it was, with the backups playing. Everyone called for his head, had him fired... And why? because the other team was bad.

It's a disturbing trend and IMHO it's because of the way we've been raising our children... Everyone gets a trophy for trying... No failing grades... Everyone is special and no one can be made to feel like they may have failed, everything is equal no matter how hard they try or how much they excel. Fucking no outs in kiddie baseball?!

It's highly, highly disturbing to me.
