Just got my quarterly dividends... thinking about buying a new weapon for the range... this is obviously a pricey option (canadian prices are nuts) but it uses the same mags & ammo as one of my handguns... it's also small enough to stay in my locker at the range with the stock folded down.
thoughts?

LOL are you not one of the same ppl who rant and rave against guns?
I would go for something a little less gimmicky at any rate.
-
that gun jams all the time, go read some reviews on it its a piece of shit. does look badass though and is a cool idea.
honestly youre best bet for an smg type weapon is to get an ar15 type rifle, and convert it to .45 acp. ive seen it done, and it will be cheaper than the vector.or you can just get an ar15, and get a short barrel in it.
-
^^^
agreed, sbr'd ar or ak if youre looking for something small and compact
Keltech KSG also maybe something to look into, Saiga 12 gauge as well ;) the version where the pistol grip can sit under instead of behind.

This gun is pure gimmick. Get something good & reliable if you want to drop serious $.

those dracco ak pistols are pretty neat, my pops has one and its pretty cool.

good stuff, thanks for sharing... somewhat limited choices in canada (not everything is allowed) and max clip size is 5 (seriously)
-

not legal here to my knowledge
most of the reviews i've watched about the vector are pretty balanced... the big advantage from my perspective is the size

Hmm...I think the vector is technically considered an SBR down here, I could be wrong though.
Why would a ak or ar pistol be outlawed where you are? just curious
I just dont see the benefit of it over a SBR or say the Keltech KSG, its more of a gimmick to me

It's not a clip bro, it's a fucking magazine!!

No clue. Our gun laws are relatively tough to understand.

If it has a folding stock, it's a SBR. without a stock, it's a pistol, even if it's a rifle caliber (like the ridiculous AK and AR "pistols").

agreed, which is why i was curious why the vector would be legal but the dracco illegal?
doesnt seem logical to me unless its b/c of the caliber.
-
I think that the civilian legal Vectors have 16" extended barrels. Probably some kind of retarded fake can.
FWIW, I would totally SBR it and then get a real can for it.

still dont see the point of it to be honest, its just to gimmicky to me.
especially if woo cant put a stock on it, its just a big clunky pistol then...
get the dracco or sbr saiga, Keltech KSG
I think its more of a fun plink around gun which i understand but not for the price their asking
-
The SBR is only $200 away and you get the stock and the carbine-length barrel.

My thoughts exactly. Still thinking it over.

why not just get a glock sbr conversion?
Ive never really seen one used but I know you can get an sbr type modification you can use with a glock
-
Not a bad choice, but personally I would go with something like this, especially if you want to experience what it truly is like to be a real man.

Googling that. Interesting suggestion. Thanks.

Two grand? For that much, you can pick up a glock, a shotgun, a pocket rocket, and have enough to go to Sea World too!

just food for thought...

Turning heads at a range is an uber gay reason to get a gun.
-
just food for thought...
looks like they may be legal here (the kits but not full auto or any mags over 10 rounds) pretty cool... would give me what i am looking for

10 round mags...just tape them together for a quick mag change...better still shoot a real rifle the SLR. 7.62mm ...
-
So you can buy weapons easy in Canada wooo?

yes and no... you need a license (i've had one since they were introduced)
-
It's hard here to get a license. I had one when I did security work for the army here but they took it away when I left the job...I have not shot for a long time. Very strict controls here.

ironically, while 10 is the mag limit for most handguns you can have an endless supply of 10 round mags... i dunno about you but i can swap mags pretty smoothly
-
Welll I liked shooting pistols more . Average with a rifle but marksman with a 9mm Browning...that was my baby...a standard British army issue at the time.

i'm nothing special with guns... just ok... pretty good with my bow though (there are several free ranges in the city of toronto)
-
Luckily i actually have a large penis, and have no need spend 2000 on a metal replacement.

Yet guns sell based on looks just like any other product. This thread shows that- our man here wanted a vector which is a terrible gun. But it looks cool and that's it's only redeeming quality. Watch some videos and you'll find that it jams like a bitch. Not what you want..

you can eat at the Shark Cafe. or get in a cage and swim with them. Yes, most of the people there are also whales.

The only one that I am missing is the M14. I am so OCD about that stuff that it'll probably take me years to acquire the right receiver, stock, trigger group, etc. The Springfields are mostly crap.

You like guns as a play thing, but don't support the use of them as life saving tools? ???

ahh. the only one im gonna be picky on is the AK. it HAS to be russian. none of this modern copy crap, i want the real deal man, wooden furniture and everything none of this tactical modern crap. i have to tell you though that old guns are the best, my grandfather has a VERY old .22 pump action rifle, with an octagonal barrel. it is incredibly accurate, and feels great to shoot. its a winchester i THINK, and its well over 100 years old and still shoots perfectly
on another note, the first gun i ever shot was a 9mm uzi, yes it was select fire;) thing was incredible. lot of fun. especially since i was 10 yrs old!
