Both of them go everywhere I go. If I'm mowing the lawn they're right there with me. If I go to the store they jump in the car and go with me. At Starbucks, they are in the back of the car barking at every patron entering or leaving the store. The exception is no long stays in the car so they can't hit the gym with me....this makes them very sad. ;D

agreed too timeconsuming
way to selfabsorbed to have a pet I think. and would just get annyoying to have to take it for walks all the time. I like pets though but not that much.

Beautiful dog Powerlift.

He comes to work every day. If I can't have him there, I don't take the job.

Mine seems to know - somehow - EXACTLY when I'm done eating. And he'll come into the room wearing his cute-face.
Still looking at lathes & millers but will almost certainly go for a Lincoln (might be a multi - still need to research) and also for plasma. They're well represented here in Aus. Thanks for the advices!

Is that a portrait of Fredrick the Great at the top left?

then she wasn't your dog, if she belonged to someone else.

That unconditional love is something else, isn't it? Dogs will forgive you almost anything for back rub. If women could be more like a dog in that way, men would be in heaven. I suspect the trick is to love your woman as much as you love your dog and you'll have her eating out of your hand plus much, much more.
My perspective may be warped since there is no time in my life that I can remember when I didn't have a dog to comfort me. A documentary I saw suggested dogs have evolved and survived because of their ability to provide companionship. Even their facial structure has changed to make them even more adorable as their association with man continued. The cuter the puppy, the more likely it was to have a human to care for them.
In contrast, people who abuse their pets should be likewise abused. I think there is nothing I hate more then someone who tortures or abuses an innocent animal. When I was a kid, I may have killed a lizard by throwing pebbles at it whenever it ventured out of the ivy. I have no idea why I did this, but it haunted me for years afterwards.
Jeffrey Dahmer and other sicko serial killers were found to have abused and killed animals as they developed into the monsters they finally became. I think this is very telling. I mean, how in the hell can an innocent creature ever deserve to be abused?

I hang out with my dong 3 times a day.

Everyday. He's a lab, so he sheds like a bastard, which is why he is outside all day. We have a crate inside for him that we put him in at night. But, i take him for a 30 minute walk everynight and constantly go out back just to give him attn. Incredibly loyal and loving. 8 years young and he pulls me around the neighborhood on my skateboard/rollerblades

You among others who have posted here have restored my hope that there are still caring humans in this sometimes horrible world we all inhabit.
My good friend just called me tonight to tell me he adopted an Affinpinscher, which is about 2 years old. He lost his best friend Judy, two years ago. Judy was a Scottish Terrier. I am so happy for him. He is. like me, a mature man. The difference between us is that he is alone in this world while I am not. More than anything he needs a companion. It was clear when I spoke with him that he was really jazzed up about his new puppy.
