1. Drugs
2. Diet (with plenty of carbs specifically for the insulin use)
3. Workout (not actually training) Most "workout" with no intensity relying on the drugs to do the work for them.
4. No tanning anymore, just slap on some "Dream Tan" and you're good to go, even the tan is fake. No taking time to actually layout and receive the benefits of the sun like drawing out water making the skin get thinner.
5. Posing....virtually non existent, very little if any practice.
Pathetic!
With most, it's a total lack of work ethic. The picture is in reference to #4

Sergio was a mutant
-
The cold hard truth is we'll never get to go back to the golden age because people will never understand to use less drugs, less is more.

Because BB back then didn't want to look like freaks.

At the Dexter, they specifically said no Dream Tan (the actual brand) was allowed for the competitors. Why would that be?

Because the judges hate it and the shit gets all over the Venue, so the promoters have to clean it up.

They hate the look or just the clean up? Both? And you are referring to the brand right?

Little man..ur jealousy is so obvious..lack of work ethic?? Lol..just cause u grunt and groan and try to lift more weight than u can handle doesn't make u "intense"..ego lifting has nothing to do with building muscle..

Blame the judges for that not the competitors.
Why bother putting together a routine when it doesn't even get rewarded?
the show should be judged in three separate rounds
Symmetry
Muscularity
Posing.
If you cant pose then it would drastically effect your placing.

Sergio has a better chest than Evan...and back in those days, these guys were considered freaks.
-
genetics is #1. period. doesn't matter how much you pump yourself with drugs if the next guy responds like a freak to half the dosage. i've known dudes using a gram of test just as the base and they look like tomato-headed idiots, meanwhile the next guy over tries a mini-cycle and blows up.
the difference between a natural and an enhanced athlete is obviously 100% drugs, but the difference between ronnie coleman and dave palumbo is genetics. everyone's doing the same shit, using the same shit, sticking with mostly the same trainers and "nutritionists". if it was just who used the most gear i'm pretty sure greg kovacs would have set the olympia record.
and don't get retarded, if arnie and sergio had access to what's around today they'd have looked like today's bodybuilders. franco would be branch, arnie would be gunter or dennis wolf, sergio would be ronnie.

Coach, I know some guys like me who are pale need the fake tan even after visiting the tanning booth for weeks. But I agree with the other stuff.

Throwing of the hands with various bottom twinks

Doesn't matter you're not going anywhere... it's not as though you will quit looking at muscled men in thongs and take up golf instead. Bah!

With all the steroids, insulin, diuretics and oil, bodybuilding is a glorified collection of junkies on the edge. The addiction is clear for all to see except they look big and strong so it is not shameful like a heroin junkie. It's what the federations want. Anything to sell supplements and bogus products.

100% accurate.
They also think they're "Athletes"... LOL!

Because of Vince Gironda. His word was gospel at that time and he didn't believe in heavy training for the legs

You know too much! Bah!

I've read his book. What he said was that he believed in fully developed quads just not the hips and glutes.

Today's *Pro* Bodybuilding.
-
Vince was cool. So was Armand. They told me a lot about the old days.

The look is hated by the judges, the clean up by the promoters. Yes the brand Dream Tan.
-

Interesting... I didn't know that... I think most avoid tanning now days due to the whole "skin cancer" thing. Pussies.
Seriously though, I didn't know that sun would draw water out and thin the skin, thats good advices.

Ok thanks. I didn't use dream tan last time but a few of the guys did.

Complain whatever you want, Evan looked great on that stage.
