For those that don't know ESPN won't being airing the WSM anymore, it's now on CBS sports's cable channel.

Did he tear his right bicep?

Did he tear his right bicep?
Oops, it's actually a right triceps tear that has wrapped around a bit, my initial reading was wrong.
Edit - He apparently tore it a bit during the week, it got worse, and then he tore his callus's on the frame carry/Farmers Walk and pulled out.

Pure alpha..

Shaw pulled #979 in the deadlift, I think with straps.

Shaw is a great strongman.

And the last show was 19 years prior to that. Have fun with that "bambam". I respect both, to make a statement like anabilico (or whatever) is flat out naive.

Refresh our memory...didn't you start a thread where you wanted to get back on stage? I don't think it was a for a WSM contest. What was it for again?

First the rumor was that it was a fringe show, and ESPN didn't want a show that would showcase steroid use. But looking at it, I just think CBS outbid them for the show, after ESPN dropped it, a multi year deal was inked with CBS.

Haven't done it yet have I? Besides, my training doesn't change much, still powerlift, still strongman training.

i was referring to the fact he is an elite weightlifter you imbecile

Good to see Shaw recovered from his biceps injury. 8)

That's one way to look at it, but I wonder if he would've had a chance with the Russian team, there was an interview with Rigert and he was dismissive of Mikhail, seemed personal. Also, he's getting older, he's go to keep his name out there for business. Also, he just really seems to enjoy being an all rounder in the strength game, it's neat, a throwback to the old days.

So in your reasoning, powerlifting is a normal sport, while a strongman competition is a "circus" sport?

i never mentioned powerlifting
powerlifting is in between sport and circus
strongman is pure circus

FFS, what have you've learned so far? This is powerlifting and strong man stuff, not weightlifting. Weightlifting is all about the snatch and the clean and jerk.
So you're contradicting yourself, because you confuse things :-\

i am saying misha is an elite weightlifter who is wasting his mastery on idiot sport like strong man and to a lesser degree powerlifting
you dont seem to grasp my point for some reason i dont know
misha is many times champion weightlifter
now him is destroying himself (literally as evident by numerous injuries) with sport of clowns

For some reason you don't know? Maybe you should improve your communication skills, in general, a weak point of your culture.
Back to your "circus sport" statement. There is a show aspect involved in strongman events, but they're much more appealing to the general public.
I agree about the injuries, not that weightlifting on a high level is healthy...
