I was just reading some movie facts and stumbled onto this:
46. The house in which the true story of The Conjuring is based on had eight generations of families live and die in the house before the Perrons moved in. Andrea Perron suggests that some of the spirits from the families never left. Deaths include two documented suicides, a poisoning death, the rape and murder of an 11-year-old girl, two drownings, and the passing of four men who froze to death. Most deaths occurred within the Arnold family from which Bathsheba Sherman was descended.

The Annabelle Doll
In the movie: Two nurses/roomies have a doll, Annabelle, they believe is possessed by a demon. They realize Annabelle can move by herself and find a note she wrote that says “Miss me?” They throw the doll away in fear, only to find it back in their apartment later.
In real life: Annabelle is a Raggedy Ann doll that a mother purchased as a gift for her daughter Donna in 1970. According to the New England Society for Psychic Research, Donna and her roommate became fearful of the doll when it started moving on its own and writing notes. The Warrens have the doll now, and Ed—who passed in 2006—claimed Annabelle killed a young man who “challenged the doll to do its worst. And it did.” Chucky, who?

The Doll is unrelated to the story.

Too much weird shit for one house.
There's a house near me that has been unable to sell for a decade. Everynight weird shit happens. Everytime the owner (who doesn't live there) hires someone to do yard work, weird shiit happened to the Mexicans, like driving into a wall, throwing up and had to go to ER, cut himself using tools, etc.

just scared superstitious humans- its a hangover from the idiocy of religion
-
ROFLMAO, 13 people have died in my house and some are buried in the back yard.
-
Most old houses built in the mid-19th century and older will have scores of dead tied to it. Completely normal back then.

Find that doll and dare it to do something to you...Would be funny if a getbigger gets into a knock down drag out with a Ragged Ann Doll
Daughter Andrea Perron, author of House of Darkness House of Light, addressed this question in an interview, "Everyone who has lived in the house that we know of has experienced this. Some have left screaming and running for their lives. The man who moved in to begin the restoration on the house when we sold it left screaming without his car, without his tools, without his clothing. He never went back to the house and consequently the people who owned it, the adjacent landowners, never moved in and it sat vacant for years." -Tallapoosa-Journal.com
The current owner, Norma Sutcliffe, stated that she and her husband Gerry have had far less intense paranormal experiences in the farmhouse, including the door banging in the front hall, sounds of people talking in another room, the sounds of footsteps accompanied by a door opening in another room and her husband's chair vibrating in the study. The only things that were ever visible to them were a blue light that Norma saw shoot across the bedroom and her husband once thought he saw a fog in the home.

If Ach went to that house the Ghosts could simply possess him by going into his body via the easy access his giant nose and nostrils provide.

All nonsense.

All nonsense.
^ This.
I roll my eyes when I hear a movie like this claim it is 'Based on a true story' as it typically means the movie is based on nothing but a general idea. None of the specifics of the movie have to be at all accurate.

A house has never been haunted in the history of mankind. Not a one.
