All Keynesian wet-dream cities.  Strangely, the economic powerhouse cities of the past 20 years are all from Asia...but don't make the cut.  I guess nothing worthwhile is going on there.   ::)

I personally would love to move and live in Bend, Oregon.  Been there 3 times.  It's a City with a laid back small town feel to it.   Sunny weather, short commutes, tons of golf courses, skiing, hunting, fishing,  clean fresh air.   Love the place.

Lived there for several years.  Beautiful country, ugly women, great fall, long winter, two weeks of summer, irritating California retirees, no jobs, housing is expensive.

Despite what you've heard in the media, guns are a complete non issue in the United States (unless you're in a bad area of Chicago where they're banned).

Basically, you've got a very, very, very low chance of being a victim of gun violence in Australia, whereas in the United States you only have a very low chance.

Not to go on a tangent here, but one group of people in a society has no right depriving the other group of their natural right to protect themselves and their family. How creepy...  :-X

Do you remember how the wizard of oz went, they were on yellow brick road to find heart soul courage mind and at the end of the brick road was a crazy scientist creating illusions and pulling the strings....real shit man!
Yes the Scarecrow, Tinman, and the Cowardly Lion where seeking a brain, a heart, and courage respectively and went with Dorothy down the road. They all had everything already but needed believe in themselves  = confidence.

Sydney is great if you like:

- overpriced houses
- ridiculous rents
- expensive everything really
- shitty roads and traffic and inconsiderate drivers, god help you if you are a cyclist.
- generally rude and snobby people zombified by their iphones and ipods.
- immigrant enclaves

If you are a new home buyer you will probably only afford to live 40+ km from the centre of the city, so you will spend 2 -4 hours a day traveling to work.

Sydney reached it's peak at the 2000 Sydney Olympics and has been declining since then.

Apart from that...

the main problem I see with Sydney apart from being expensive  is a fast pace, stressful life, typical rat race city. Mind you it is a beautiful place.

Toronto is full of Jamaicans and hatians. Pure filth people.  Toronto has the largest population of Jamaicans outside of the island itself.  Toronto has the second largest Black population in North America behind LA.

So what you refer to as Canadian is white bread, not the Africans, island folks or Asians that have saturated that county in the last 10 years.

Etobicoke is considered Toronto now and is fairly close to "Old Toronto" which includes the downtown area. That's where I'm from "old toronto"...people  say there's lots of east indians, chinese, blacks in Toronto but that part is mostly white but I'm sure that includes the Italians, Greeks, Portuguese, etc. Gotta remember the closer to downtown the higher the housing prices/rent...

Oakville and Burlington are much more suburban about half hour drive away from the city. Hamilton, is a small city about 45 mins away with a lot of white trash and some ghetto areas. Can find more affordable housing in these places but if you work in Toronto the commute will be a huge headache to deal with on a daily basis.

Richmond....club district.  :D

Etobicoke is considered Toronto now and is fairly close to "Old Toronto" which includes the downtown area. Yes man I remember being in a cab looking out at Lake Ontario a Muslim driver. I loved Toronto walking to the Skydome on the street in the cold to watch NBA. Going to strip clubs etc. Strange for work once I flew from Merida Mexico in one day to Toronto I'll never forget it.

haha yeah seems those people have taken up the cab jobs like in other cities like new york...makes for some smelly cab rides. I've flown in from hot humid weather into the frigid cold of the great white north. Its quite a trip...not just the weather but the difference in the standard of living from one place to another as well.

It's very strange how the whole world has changed in recent years. I bought my house about 10 years ago just a young kid in a rural area now I can't even get out in the road if around 8:00 am.

Same everywhere...

Places where it was farms are now filled with homes and shopping centers.  :(

Human overpopulation of peace...

All rubbish.  Best country in the world Saudi Arabia.  Best conditions for muslims.

Hi Turd

Not sure the Saudis will admit a dog-eating scumbag, Muslim or not.  But you might try Somalia. Take a Quran, by all means, but also take some guns and poison gas.   Just in case.
