Yeah man, simple techniques that he breaks down. Makes it really easy to master food. Those little tips can go a long ass way.
I wouldn't say I'm a Masterchef or anything, but I've made a lot of home dishes that I'm pretty proud of. It's important to know how to cook in my opinion. I hate eating like a peasant.

I like watching Jamie Oliver. No bullshit talk, it all look so simple and easy to make when you watch him. Not annoying like this prick.
Some of it is based in reality but it's a hyperbole too, aka scripted. Watch between the lines though. Gordon is a genius and demands perfection.
His actual cooking instructional show is nothing like that. You can tell he's got a passion for food and it's easy to get enthused. His entire volume of cooking shows is uploaded to Youtube. I watched the shit out of those and picked up a few small tips that made a huge impact on the way I cook. I think everyone needs to watch stuff like this because life's too short to eat shitty foods.

Doubtful. Most seem like they want to win the contest for the money and prestige, despite all the drama along with it.
Wouldn't be out of the ordinary if they did have to sign some no retaliation clause however.

Guy I know has a pub in my neighborhood in Toronto, they were on one of those restaurant makeovers. He is not a guy who takes shit and would most likely have beaten the shit out of Ramsey if it was him on the show and he went on one of his asshole rants, anyways the pub owner I know blew up at and fired the show chef(wannabe ramsey) on the show. I have not see the episode so I don't know if they edited that part out but apparently the chef was shocked and shitting his pants in fear off camera

I know he has a reputation but it seems like he's becoming a caricature of himself now - blowing up every 5 minutes. Kind of like John McEnroe does these days on the senior tennis circuit - like it's expected of him.
Having said that, an old colleague was a dish pig in one of Ramsey's kitchens and describes him as a grade A girl.

Was in Vegas last week (again) and his BURGR joint in Miracle Mile sucked ass. I tried his Steakhouse when I was there back in Feb and it was barely passable at best.

Ill give you the burger joint even though IMO it's better than the pub at ceasars. The steak house is just awesome at Paris from top to bottom. Had to try his Wellington and some Kobe just melted in your mouth. Design,floorplan,Decor,service,everything top notch there. Just be ready for a $500 bill ;D

I did not find it to be so. It was rather on par with Ruth Chris IMO.
