Yes apparantly she bought a BBQ set so as not to look as guilty.

However, she forgot rule #1.  If you are going to buy a BBQ so as not to look so guilty, don't leave it in the car you are going to torch, which she did.  The same BBQ was found in the back seat of the burned up Jag.

That's where she messed up. She bought the BBQ set, 6 cans of fluid, but failed to purchase any BBQ sauce , mighty suspicious. ;)

Yes nowadys they use the propane tank type of BBQ.  Did she buy the EZ-Lite charcoal.  Those other brands suck.  They need that many cans just to light them.  And what were they going to BBQ.  Did they buy some chicken.

If the lawyer was so good, then his clients would've known to KEEP THEIR MOUTHS SHUT.

There shouldn't even *be* any stories to contradict one another.

Don't blame a lawyer who wasn't retained until AFTER they made the statements.

That's like me blaming your stepdad for your ugly face.

True, but as much time as they'd spent in trouble (I consider Kelly part of Craig's "they"), they really should've known better.

I know instinct says that cooperating with police might make you look less guilty, but that's not the thing to do when you DID commit the crimes involved in the cover-up of what MIGHT have been an accidental asphyxiation.  Knowing that they burned that car, they never should've talked.

They haven't been convicted of it yet, but I don't believe for a minute that both were not involved in the arson.  At least they had the presence of mind not to report the car stolen.  Not making a false police report should shave about 30 days off their sentence.   ::)

If they reported the vehicle stolen, the only thing they would have to explain was how that Gross guy swiped the BBQ tools and lighter fluid and was picked up hitchhiking at 6am by the victim in a stolen car. That would have wrapped things up.

What I find so bizarre in all of this is... why would someone burn a body in their own vehicle?

I mean... if these allegations are correct, why not just dump it in the middle of the desert somewhere. If she was bound & gagged, and all tied up... dumping her miles from nowhere would have seemed the obvious thing to do. Craig had a bit of muscle on him, I'm sure he could have dug a hole in no time.
