Porter won the show. Both were quality pro's. Charles looks like the winner in this pic.

92/96 porter was weider guy big time,did well,won his 1st 3 shows in a row when he turned pro,he had a great build,lean thick muscle chest/delts.had good legs,back wasn't great but good enough,and he had good shape/bellies.him and kev won nationals weight classes same yr and were usually put in shoots together in the mag's then.

Porter was a firefighter too... they loved playing up that angle. Heroic bodybuilder.

That's the Japanese Legend! I forgot his name, but he had a better physique when he was competing than Hide has now.

Look at the size difference between Dorian and Porter. There is roughly 50LBS seperating these two.

Correct , I just recently explained that to someone when they said Flex wasn't beaten in 93 besides by Yates

Well he is about 6 inches shorter, but he is holding his own, except in the gut department.

Funny - Munzer was always known for his freaky conditioning, but when I look back at his photos he really was one of the more massive guys on stage. I never really saw it back when he was competing.

Porter was good, but Munzer was robbed of that title. I actually had Cottrell in third or fourth place, after Clairmont and Sherman.

The roar from the crowd during his posing routine was deafening. I have never seen a reaction like that at any of the other competitions I attended.

Which is why I never cared for his physique. Smaller arms, big thighs, - those are more female type ratios to me- I know it's subjective.
