I've never had crystal head vodka but I've heard more then once from liquor store owners that it's not that good and you're basically paying for the bottle.
If it was me I would get him a bottle Ciroq or if you really want to up him get a bottle of Stoli Elite.

...Stoli Elite is expensive but the best tasting vodka I've ever had.

Exactly...it's all in the marketing...Dan Akyrod is part owner of the brand and add the two and that's what sells it...unfortunately not the taste.
And on the other side you have Ciroq wich is really good but collected dust on the shelves until they hired Pdiddy to sponser it :-\

Yeah that's it...close to $60.00 a bottle here in the states!

one of the guys I know in the gym works for a booze distributer so I kind of get the low down on vodka's and tequilas.

...and he also hooks me up dirt cheap with his booze allowance :)

Not even close to being comparable here.

Also depends on how your guy drinks his vodka.  If he is going to mix it up with stuff, any kind of will do.  If he prefers to drink it over ice, the Goose, Belevedere and Kettle One in that order.

Pretty much spot on.
