Can Gunter save bodybuilding and correct everything that is wrong with it today? I say he can!
I say he can take bodybuilding into a new era and make it more popular than it was in Arnold Schwarzeneggers prime! I say Gunter is the new Arnold! New and improved!
Will Gunter peak in 2006, being his all time best and be crowned the MR OLYMPIA after placing 4th last year?!

Time will finally catch up with Ronnie in 2006 and so it's really down to just three... Gustavo pressured to do the Arnold might have a hard time to come in at his best at the Olympia... so that leaves it with two, we have Jay Cutler

Gunter's been a pro for a while. If he was gonna save bb, I think he would've done i by now. I hope he does though, I'm a big fan. I like to see guys 6'+ place well.

IFBB will desparetely try to turn it back to the Arnold era, which will suit Gunter perfectly. We've allready seen more changes in last year than in a long, long time... but clearly that wasn't enough. It's obvious they can't continue down the road of "bigger is better" and with a heated steroid debate, bad press in the media in general, lowered magaine sales etc something has to be done.

sorry Danny, its just that in that particular shot, Jay's waist is so wide it overpowers his upper AND lower body. His legs are cut (which is awesome) but one quad is noticably bigger than the other..I just don't think that is a particularly flattering shot of Jaw.

If IFBB wants to see Der Güntafreak as MR O, they better take away the ab-thigh pose from the mandatories.
He really sucks major shit on that one.
Der Günta was recently pwned by Vince Goodrum on the ab-thigh.

jay was def. off this year. jay was smooth and had a gut. looked much better in 04. gunter looked great at the night show. looks like shit, with no tan, in those prejudging pics. he could beat jay and i think he should. he's bigger, harder, but sometimes his conditioning when off really highlights his structural flaws. a few mass cycles designed by chad should do him good. none of this taking off shit if he wants to win. if he doenst then he can take all the time off in the world and finish in 2nd place for life (cue kevin levrone).

In that back shot, Ron's still wider AND has more detail, even though he's not in great shape. Jays always very good but just misses great.
Most of these guys have guts including Jay; singling out Ron is meaningless in that context.

You know with Gunter everyone wins... you get a 300lb mass monster with fairly classic lines and aesthetics.

I agree, I thought Gunter (besides his abs/thigh pose) looked superb this year. I'd take this physique over the two gut monsters any day.

I don't know how you guys can say Jay was off? He looked great! He improved on his lower back, glutes and hamstrings. I'll will admit Gunter and Ronnie looked great, this is the best Gunter ever looked. He still did not look as good as Jay or Ronnie.

Gunter would seem less "freakish" to the general public. He's tall and still maintains a somewhat healthy and athletic look.
I'd rather have his physique too........I'd hate to be a midget with a potbelly like Ron and Jay.

If Gunter had a smaller waist he would have a serious shot at winning the Olympia, his midsection makes him look blocky on just about any pose from the front.
