I eat a cheat meal once a week. Of course, I look like complete shit, so YMMV.

100% vodka is high octane but I don't believe it qualifies as a cheat meal.

Cheat meals only work when you're lean and have a fast metabolism.

Here is my serious answer. It doesn't really matter if you are natural or not (little easier while juicing) a guy at 8% bodyfat will never see an impact from a cheatmeal (hell, even a cheat day.)

The cheat meal/meals are designed to keep people mentally sane during long stretches of dieting.

The cons of cheat meals, is the guilt that often follows (not to mention the full toilet bowl)

You should feel fuller, and slightly stronger for your workout the next day.

The answer is that a cheat meal/day will not effect your body's composition in the long term. As long as you are strict the rest of the week with nutrition and training.

For quicker results its better if you just run with the diet until where you wanna be. I'm having a cheatmeal right now as we speak but it probably adds up to about 8000cals...don't ever get into the habit of doing that!

I think it really depends on your age and body fat level.  When I was a teenager I could eat like shit every day and still remain trim.  As long as its a reasonable cheat, you should be fine.    People can't live on bread alone..

This guy tries way too hard. It is embarrassing and I'm looking forward to Ron banning him for good this time.

I've limited my starchy carb intake to one hamburger bun and an order of fries a week.

The rest of the meals, 20 of them, are either chicken/turkey and veggies, or Salmon and veggies.

With this diet, I've found I can maintain 10% even if I have a couple pints of ice cream a week.

And I'm old as sh!t.

It's okay to have cheat meals. What good is having a great body if you can't eat a pizza or have some beer once in awhile?  You will have abs and be the guy standing in the corner of the club with the mean mugging face having a rotten time.

Nothing wrong with cheat meals - I probably have them about four or five times a week - still like curries, KFC, McDonalds, Burger King etc. Don't have much simple sugars though - tend to stay away from sweets, chocolate, cakes, etc.

I'll give you some good advise.

a good prep is like a box of jigsaw puzzle pieces- it makes no sense to you but your prep guys knows what pieces go where and what the picture will look like in the end.

do not solicit advise from anyone other than your prep guy during your prep. period.

Yes.

Its ok for someone with YOUR build to have a 2 or 3 cheat meals per week.

Personally, I can only have one or two crappy meals per week. If I have three or four, I'm fucked.

Ive been on the gal/no-one eating plan and its worked.

I believe we've been hoodwinked by the propaganda of eating, starchy carbs: rice, pasta, potato or oats with every meal.

With this diet every meal is a cheat meal. If you cut these foods out of your everyday diet, you can occassionally get with some fun foods without disasterous consequences.

Cheat meals are great. I probably have 1 full horrible cheat meal a week. This includes food, dessert, and alcohol. This is usually on a Saturday evening, followed by a no carb/no training Sunday. Works great for me. The consensus seems to be 1-2 cheat meals a week won't harm your physique, and will keep you mentally sane.

I usually look my best after a cheat meal when dieting. Gives me a fuller look

I usually have 2 a week year round, far from a natural though

Then the answer is easy. Hell yeah it is Ok. Why deprive yourself for that long, without a cheat meal. A cheat meal if you are lean does the body a lot of good both physically and mentally.

I don't feel a need to cheat even as I lost 30 lbs in the last 3-4 months. I'm not fighting hunger or low energy so that makes it pretty easy with my current diet.

If you're dieting for a show in April or May, then you'd be kinda silly not to have a weekly cheat meal for both hormonal balance and mental health

complete myth, unless you're doing the traditional bodybuilding diet high in protein and starches. that diet is a saboteur of physical and mental well being.

The word "cheat" may send the signal that it is infact not okay, like, per definition it's not.
