Did you check in the mirror everyday, measuring tape over the guns, praying for time to speed up?Or did you set it up as a lifestyle and not give it much thought until one day people began remarking you were a beast?

speaking from personal experience, I hit puberty and grew muscles. Only made sense to get into weightlifting.
-
I did one set of barbell curls one day first time I tried them and boom I was jacked and I was not even in a hurry.

Lucky you. I hit puberty and grew nothing. Every muscle I have is the result of years of work.

What were you at at your heaviest? 210 lbs?
-
Age 14 to 15 couldnt have been more deaperate to gain muscle remember hours upon hours on a pair of old chest expanders. Then saved for weights and did an hour after school of bench pressing with rediculously light weights then another hour before bed 2 years later looked exactly the same as when started.
-
I am only about 165 lbs these days :-\, I run 40-50 miles/week.
I am very lean though and I still work my legs with weights and do pushups/pullups/leg raises (no homo). Feel better than I ever did trying to be a "huge" 185 lbs oh brother.

235 or so of pure fat. I tried and tried to get higher by eating my way there, but it just didn`t happen. Its like my body had a cap and that was that. It was all a waste though because it never did anything. I knew that though, but its interesting how people perceive and treat you though when they think you are bigger. In my case it was all fat, but I hide it extremely well due to my bird framed, thin boned, long armed body. Even people who competed thought I was a lot leaner than I was. It was hilarious actually. I remember how difficult it was to carry my school books from one end of the college campus to class. I would arrive huffing and puffing, hot as can be. Of course everyone thought it was steroids for some reason. Even people on here who should know better still thinks thats what it was.
Big Ach and I used to be in competition for permabulking. He is a similar case where he looks leaner in clothes than he actually is. Its not a good thing, because if you don`t realize it, it could really fuel a delusion. I still see it happening all the time.
On a side note, I am still waiting for Dante` aka Doggcrapp or anyone for that matter to show me a lifetime natural under 6 feet, over 200 lbs at 4-6 percent. Its not possible. (watch people on this thread claim that it is possible :D)

it arrived the first day of my first cycle. from then on its been jackedsville.
-
I was scared when I first started lifting weights that I would get too big. I was on my third set of bicep curls when SHAZAM it happened. I tried to make my arms go back but it was too late.
-
I high school, I got into lifting and was benching 250 for a single at a monster 138lbs. But I couldn't understand why all these weak guys looked like they had more muscle. It wasn't until years later when I learned about insertions, ectomorphs, etc...that I finally got it.
In other words, I realized I could look good, but never jacked.

I would have imagined otherwise based on your handle. But I agree that it is far better to be healthy and lean then huge and unhealthy. BTW, that's a lot of miles to run every week.

40+ miles a week is impressive. I just put a 10 mile minimum on myself and that will be a problem. 40+? How does that break down?

Thanks - it was probably double my squat at the time! Lol. Wish I had someone to teach me back then.

I wasn't the one who decided... people around me informed me of it and now i'm cognisant of the fact.

Honestly, I was just born genetically gifted. But I also had to bust my ass to get where I am at today.
Have you seen Michelangelo's David? That is me with my shirt off.
Classical. Beautiful.
-
younger I was obsessed with being big
now I don't give a shit I just want to be decent sized, ripped with good looks
all in all, I am still the same size anyway just less bloated
-
In the early years I was so obsessed with getting big it consumed every minute of my life, then I found steroids and I was able to be jacked while having a normal life.
