A Canberra man who bit his ex-girlfriend's face after she bit him on the penis has avoided jail time. The pair met at the Groovin' the Moo music festival and arranged to meet later that night at her Bruce home. Walden fell asleep after they had sex about 11pm. As he slept, the victim looked through his phone and discovered he had been in contact with another woman.

If you look at the Police Guidelines on domestic violence, it essentially says Men are only perpetrators and women are only ever victims. The 'CODE OF PRACTICE FOR THE INVESTIGATION OF FAMILY VIOLENCE' used by the Police as a guideline in domestic abuse situations suggests that Police can pursue all avenues of inquiry and investigation to identify the predominant aggressor or offender and arrest them, the definition of the word 'predominant' means 'present as the strongest or main element.' And who is the strongest element in a domestic between a man and a woman? So a woman can hit her man all she likes, but he isn't able to defend himself because he is considered the 'predominant offender'
