A long while back, one of our forum members brought up an interesting point that a fitness competitor should train and eat more like an athlete. At the time, I argued and disagreed with him, but decided to take matters into my own hands and research and experiment with some new training and diet methods. I used these methods in preparation for the 2005 NPC Nationals, where I placed 3rd in my class and came in with my best physique and performance to date. Enthusiastic about my results, I wanted to document my findings and share them with the bodybuilding/fitness industry. So, I wrote an article for Bodybuilding.com on How to Train as a Competitive Fitness Athlete.
