I lived in L.A. for 6 years (Beverly Hills for 3). I used to date a girl in the business (star of early reality shows) and another girl who tans the "stars" before they go on the red carpet. I've seen the insides of the business personally. Almost 90% of everything leaked is a work...90%!! There is no morals or anything in Hollywood and they think of the common folk as peasants and simple-minded. This is truth. Believe me when I say that everything that we know about Arnold is because he wants it out there. There are possibly thousands of stories and women and men etc. we don't know and will never know about. It's the way Hollywood works, especially of those in power positions like Arnold himself.
Do you think Arnold knew marrying a Kennedy would benefit his career? That's as Alpha as it gets. He was probably banging hundreds of women paid for and bought. The maid is just another he fucked and probably fucked up on...Arnold lives in a world most people will never understand, but loves it for his ego. Why do you think so many people at young ages die in that life? It consumes them and everyone around you just sing your praises so they can get ahead. No matter what you think or say, it's all fake, all illusion and your opinion means nothing...

Amongst all of that, one still hopes that Arnold is a good guy in some form and leaves a positive legacy. Most of us identify with him somehow and as a result we will look for the good in him too.
He has inspired countless to better their health and fitness.
He has inspired countless to get ahead in their personal professional lives.
He's entertained generations with his shitty acting.
I won't talk about Arnold the politician.
His '5 rules' speech is genuinely moving and very inspiring… genuine in his intent to inspire and help.
He does seem to be a guy who's crown sometimes sits heavy on his head. But many times watching footage of Arnold you can't help but be won over by his charisma and just see the good guy in him, ego aside.

Arnold thinks of one thing everyday when he rises from the bed."What can I do today for me,to propel me further than I have gone before." His main objective in life is to conquer whatever he feels in any way possible to get ahead. He will trample anyone in his way,use them for his goal and cast them to the side.
Still I have great admiration for him. His ability to set and achieve nearly every goal he set onto his cards,checking each off like a game of chess. I would love to hang around him for a week to learn some of his ruthlessness if only to be able to help myself. Yet I feel his ego would drive me to wanting to punch his face in at the same time.

Wrong conclusion friend, I've read The Encyclopedia before touching a weight. I admire Arnold for the person he is and for what he has accomplished in his life, but that doesn't mean I'm an ass kisser.
Indie-lad's explanation about Arnold's hungry for power makes sense, that's def a clear part of his personality. This, combined with his smart mind tricks (see Pumping Iron) and the way he presents himself, makes him an alpha, but I find it hard to understand why he has children with two ugly women. Sure, Maria is from an influential family, but aren't there better looking women in those circles?
