Did you get shafted as a kid on presents because your birthday is so close to Christmas? My wife's birthday was last Monday....the Epiphany or "Little Christmas" as it is known in Ireland. All I got her was a card.

My daughter had her birthday on Tuesday and we spoiled her because we were afraid she might feel like her birthday is being pushed aside because of Christmas.

I think that is what happened to me...
But, what happens when you get older, the less presents you get, because one's birthday is right around the corner. And happy belated birthday to your daughter as well.

My cousin is the oldest sibling in a family with six kids (all grown and middle-aged now). She was born on Christmas day. She says she missed out on a lot of presents because of this.
