My squat "war story" isn't about me (my best was only 225 for 15 ass to the floor, pause reps--I know not impressive to most guys here :-/ but in the college wrestling room at Lehigh University assistant coach Kerry McCoy (national champ, 2 time Olympian in freestyle wrestling--heavyweight) decided to show everyone they were slacking and not pushing their strength and conditioning to the limit. He used the squat as his example, and did 50 reps with 405 lbs. Never saw anyone come close to that, hell 50 reps with one plate (135 lbs) is impressive to me!
I've always been curious how many others have performed this or similar squat records. Impressed the hell out our wrestling team for sure. ;-)

50 reps for 135lbs :-/ eh.. that's like having feathers on your back though.. not impressive... and 225 for 12-15 is my warmup... srs... Now 500lbs for 50 reps or something along those lines THAT'S ridiculous.. and we all know who could do that, the one and only quadzilla...
One dude at my gym did 405 for 50 reps... competes.. man is a beast.. that is all.. now that is impressive... I mire that..
Edit: lol it's late ate night... just saw you mentioned 405 for 50 reps. Yes that is pretty impressive. Going to bed... frickin late... tired..
True ATG squats are the only real squats.. all other stuff is BS ego...

405 for 50? Bullshit.
-
No I have no not..
-
405 x 50? Let's just say I'm concerned about this claim.
-
Nope, never done 405 for 50.......never seen anyone else do 405 for 50 either.
-
I believe that's about 50 reps (non-stop) with 4 plates each side?
...MMMM...
Sounds a little bit to much.

Ive seen 405 for 28 by a world powerlifting champion. No way does some rassler do 22 reps more.
