And another question, does it seem like they have better quality, which possibly would mean a better genetic pool? Think of the Ulisses Jr, Mo Mendez, Simeon Panda, Ade Rai and others.

There would be no difference at all. Short of some of them looking very well proportioned/symetrical once they up the dose for the first competition.
After that it's down to a couple of things, namely genetic strength of kidneys and response to ungodly doses.

And another thing, Mexican bodybuilders...there aren't that many of them. One would think with the drug connection (labs, etc) you'd see more trying to get their card during the North Americans.

I'm sure that in Mexico City with a urban population of 21 million has plenty of people who have stable lifestyles and have gym memberships.

Sure you do, there are pics of Simeon Panda on here, in the thread where Cleanest Natural said he be better than him, and Ulisses Jr, there are plenty of pics of him on here. I won't post anymore pics because these pics have been posted many times before. But, I will repost a vid I posted once

Stan mcquay was one of the best muscle mania pros and placed 9th at this yrs 212
Funny how the open class now seem to favor asthetics and lines and the 212 are mini mass monsters over lines and shape.
Jose should never do well at a bbing show....

Yeah, I forgot Stan...but, hasn't the quality in muscle mania gotten better? I mean Ade Rai is what 5'11? If he filled out to IFBB levels, that would be 260-280 pounds. He can hold more than Stan can.
And Ulisses is 5'9, so bump him up to 235-250...
Yeah, I did notice that about the two classes, or could it be that is how things are evolving? I find it odd how Branch doesn't do the 212---probably thinks it's beneath him since he has won the Arnold 2x...

I would say so and Ade's physique is very good a long with the ones u mentioned. I actually prefer those types to any of the physiques competing in the open and the 212 besides dexter .
Like someone said they will probably do well in the physique division the way they are but I would go out on a limb and say they could be competitive at 250-270 given that a lot of muscle mania guys like Ade are 5'11/6 ft so they got the height

They should enter the IFBB World Championships and then you'd see how "good" they are. People forget the huge Musclemania/schmoe hype machine behind these two. If you think they became popular because of incredible builds... They both look great relaxed and in touched up fitness shots but on stage with world class competitors.. POOF! The magik is gone.

haha.. looks like I hurt a lot of feelings for some dudes who worship that monkey as the second coming of zane .. they obviously beat off to him furiously otherwise everyone would see that the guy has serious structural flaws .. me and him with the same amount of lean muscle at similar bodyfat in a bodybuilding contest would be ridiculous indeed. Me 1st easily and him last.. dude looks good in the relaxed pose ... the moment you start "spreading them" in the mandatories he dissapears plus he willl not be standing there alone.
I also love how e-kul picked the most pathetic pic of me I ever posted in the most pathetic stance on purpose and compared it with the same hi def nice professional pic of him that keeps getting posted over and over again.

The IFBB Worlds competitors are the best in the world, and if they try and compete in America they just end up looking like shit. Mohammed Touri had one of the best physiques around, then he "sized up" to compete in some shows here and ended up looking quite average.
Low stage weight is what makes these guys look great

U referring to Stan cause he placed 9th? As far as I know stan went back to training at powerhouse with Dave kalick (sp) and dropped Charles and golds Venice this time around

The only thing that might have some off-hand truth to it is what is commonly referred to as "politics" ~ this is what the Pro BB's call it b/c they know they could be outed at the drop of a hat.
The paying off of judges is very real indeed. It doesn't just have to be a cash handout, it can come in many colors.
If Doctors and Lawyers can do it, surely the judges of the dirtiest "sport" in history can do it, no?

I remember King Kamali thanking that now deceased blonde judge for helping him get his pro card. This was in the pages of Flex magazine. This same judge is the one who criticized Shawn Ray at a Mr. o press conference and said that he always comes looking the same.
