Title: how does shrimp rate as a first rate protein source?

i like to add it to my pasta a lot, is it as good as other types of fish?

Shrimp is a great food.One of the few seafoods I like to eat personally.Per a 3 oz. raw serving you get 90 cal. .5 grams of carbs,1.5 grams of fat & 17.3 grams of protein.Make it 8 oz. serving & just an excellent food.Throw it in your rice as well.Or also dip them in a tartar sauce.Damn i'm getting hungry again!!!

shrimp is high in colesterhol? i never knew that! so a full shrimp ring to yourself is bad?

Isn't it high in Iodine too.  And eating to much can cause gout can't it.  I love shrimp

Who worries about that besides old people?   

I read that Dexter Jackson often eats shrimp as a protein source.   You have to be aware of how the shrimp is cooked also.  At restaurants they'll cook it in a lot of fattening oil for the most part.

It is the good cholesterol from what I've heard. Ya know the kind that helps lower the bad. Just thought I'd add.
