Title: Gentlemen, this year my Spurs shall have their redemption!
Post by: Wiggs on April 07, 2014, 01:00:59 PM
240, Arce, Quickerblade, Uberman, Groink and other NBA fans from last years playoff thread. The time is almost upon us again. I still haven't recovered from last year's devastating loss (we should have won). We won't make the same mistake. My only concern is OKC. If we can get past them (0-3 this year  :-\ ) we'll be ok.

Man, I have a cool David Robinson jersey from 20 years back. Never wore it, as I'm not a singlet-type guy.

Since when did you start playing for them?

I love my Spurs and have lived in SA my whole life, but they got spanked by OKC last week (taste of things to come.....again?).  I know, just one game coming off a 19 game win streak, but come playoff time OKC tends to go nuts.  SA will have to own OKC.....I mean OWN.....in order to dominate the whole she-bang.

My pick for the finals (yes, the finals) is still OKC/Heat with Spurs losing in the West Conf.

Spurs have looked entirely unimpressive.   Lots of teams have looked terrible.  Is ANYONE gonna sweep, besides Miami?

Tough to bet on them, or anyone right now.  any young and talented team is gonna work them over.   Aging one year at 28 is one thing.  Aging one year at 37 is another thing.

SA are aging very slowly, but they re aging nonetheless. So far they re as good as the mavericks, not sure they ll get past them...

Interesting playoffs so far.

Dirk and his team has something to say about that Wiggs  :D

Mavs should have been up 3-0 if they didn't blow the first game up by 10 pts

i would like to see a Spurs/Heat championship because its old school vs new school.

crisp fundamentals vs. raw athleticism.

plus i just think the spurs would have the best chance against the heat.

Durant shrinks from the challenge when he plays Lebron, while Lebron  relishes the oppurtunity to prove why he is the best

Spurs have more discipline and are not easily intimidated

Right now I wouldn't bank on anybody coming out of the West for sure. Grizzlies look good Portland and so on. Spurs with their veterans and Pop probably have the best shot. The West is deep. Waiting for the Heat Spurs rematch in the finals. Can you say threepeat!

DAL looks old and terrible here.  yet they just tied it, 77-77, with 6 minutes left

DAL leading series 2-1.   Best SA can do it tie it and hope it only goes 6 games.  It's like watching two 80 year olds have intercourse.
