2 mo...noo probably more like 3 months of not doing em...
i've been buzy with studies but the urge to get back to the gym is back...i can always train later in the day after my studies..
but i'm not looking forward to today...if 225 seems heavy squatting i'm gonna have to kick my own ass >:(

today i leg pressed six 100 pound plates. most i've done yet. i do squats like once a month. i can do like 250 for 5 or 6 reps but each time i squat i seem to add like 15-20 pounds to it.

uuummmm.....hopefully you only hit every other body part just once a month too, becuase if not damn you are disproportional.

well guys..this is how it went...juuust got home limping...
warm up..3 easy sets on the leg extention
squats
set 1 ..135..for 15
set 2.....155......10
set 3....185......15
set 4......185.....10
set 5......225.....10
then my hams started clenching up so i moved to leg presses
set 1 3 plates....each side..12 reps
set 2....same
set 3....5 plates each side....10 reps...
then my abductors started cramping so i couldn't stand proper...
then i hobbled to my car and called it enough for first day....
the squats were pause squats pretty much...
the leg presses were done quicker...
i'm sore already and my hams wont stop twitching...but i'm feeling good about myself... :)
i didn't do any leg curls or stiffs..thats next week...i squat ass to the floor so it gets my hams pretty good...
no belt..no wrams...just used the manta ray cause i have a bad shoulder...the bar resting on top makes it swell up sometimes..
bdy weight..155 as of today...

I don't know what you're talking about. I do legs just as much as everything else. Just do squats once a month but on all those other weeks that i don't do squats I still work legs with other exercises. My legs are actually my best bodypart. my weakpoint is back and chest. i measure about 41-42 inchest around the chest. I do each muscle once a week. for just about every bodypart i have two different routines and take turns using them. for back one routine is for thickenss (deadlifts, barbell rows and stuff like that) and the other one is for width (chins, pulldowns and stuff like that).

I can relate I quit hitting legs regular in July and jogged for to months for legs. Then the last semester of College hit me and I knuckled up, got lucky and landed a fantastic job before I graduated.
Well now school is finished and I am back at my training, 5 days a week for 5 weeks now. Legs every week, I might add.
My goal by the end of February: 20 reps of 225 for my warmup, that will put me back in the ballpark.

I have NOT quit hitting legs! i work out legs like everything else. i just do SQUATS about once a month. other weeks a lot of leg press!

well 2 give a short back ground...legs were my best bodypart always...i used to train them 2ice weekly...
there ws squat day and then there ws stiffs and legpresses and hacks day....at 185 i ws doing 405 for 6 easy..ass 2 the floor..belt only...back 7 years ago my lower body dominated my upper bod...i remember having 17 inch calves at 190 lbs while i had barely 15 1/2 inch arms ..lol...back then i could strict stiff 315 for 6 to 8 easy....
(i had no chest..nice back and huge delts..no arms what so ever)
i ws plesantly surprised that today doing squats i felt tight..and in control under the weight..if not for the cramps realistically i coulda done 286 for 4..however ..better safe than sorry...

well this one kinda happened ...
i ws doing good in the gym but kinda moving away from my goal of taking my networking (CCIE) test..then it just so happened that i got a job offer to teach a networking class and the $ they threw at me could not be refused..so i started preparing for the class ...yet still training..at some point it awoke my old interest in my own studies and i started getting ready for my own test...
thing is..when i am sitting in my lab i hardly eat..by design...even if it a high protein meal..a lot of food makes the brain sluggish...i'm not as sharp when i'm full...so i might eat 2 eggs in the morning..and take a pepsi with me (for the caffeine) and then thats all i'll have till 6 pm or sometimes 8 pm till i leave my lab....
i might munch on some pretzels but only enough to drive hunger away and not enough to make me full...
now i plan on keeping the same schedule..except training in the evenings and upping the calories drastically at night etc...
as for my weight and how i look..i cant really worry about that till i pass...then i'll have all the $ in the world to buy all the juice in the world.. 8)
oh..at my heaviest i've only weighed like 210 i think...i remember not being able to buy jeans cause my waist ws 28..it still is around there i think...

yup, and the god damn clutch on my truck is so tight! no wonder my left calve is bigger than my right! i can't even drive after a leg workout!

its been my nemesis...as soon as i get used to looking good and in shape i lose focus..as soon as the look becomes everyday....

yeah, that was my point- an eccentric contraction that is completely unnoticable until a day or two after leg day.
