Would you agree?
-
Most muscular and pec shot's from that era were unreal.i caught commando which is from 85 only about 5 years from last olympia ,seen it dozen times but he was in great shape for that movie, and also red heat smallish but ripped, and predator was in good shape and thick,in fact all three movies were in 1985 .
-
1974 all the way! Second pic is from 1971.... still GREAT though. 8)
-
Monster quad in the 3rd pic
-
Yes...better than anyone today!
-
The only debate is which year was best, just a matter of taste. '73 he was lean and cut, '74 he was a little bigger/heavier.
'73 was his best, IMO:
-
He looks sick in the most muscular. Quads look proportionate to his upper body.
-
Would you agree?
Best shape, yes....
Best condition? 1980.
-
Far superior to that greasy ape Oliva

Excluding Pumping Iron, of course, my favorite is The Teminator.

Come on. the Myth was better than Arnold.

Come on. the Myth was better than Arnold.
Arnold was better than Sergio i think, but sergio was amazing
-
Arnold was much smaller at the 80' Olympia, but his conditioning was better then the past
I don't know where you're getting that. His peak condition was '73-'75. Maybe it's time for glasses.

Time for glasses??
Maybe is time to listen to the professionals.
-

His best condition was '73, 1980 was at the end of the list.
For size '74.
First 2 pics are '73, last is '74.
-
Very well said. '73 for condition. '74 for added size.

and one of the greatest controversial win in the sport
-
In the picture above with Joesephine Weider, Arnold looks like bulky swimmer, with slightly muscular biceps & pecs, after winning a race. And I know the picture is grainy, but is there even 1 cut in either of his legs?
-
Just look at his obliques implant
-
He looks like a really big sloppy swimmer. How some people think that thats the best of all time just baffles me.
-
Come on. the Myth was better than Arnold.
No one beats Sergio.
Even Groinker knows this.......

Best condition shredded, ripped, cut defined and dry

There's something about Arnold....In that 80' pic holding the sandow he look's like a swimmer but next to anyone he was the best man that day........

Do u still think he had a lower body fat in 70's than this??

TOMMY-I-WISH-FOR-THE-BONE is showing his Cindy Lauper side.
Me thinks', Tommy is not a nice guy :(
The Beef
Not true HB... not true. I just think Arnolds condition (no legs, no back, no density) at the '80 Olympia was terrible. Throw in those Mark spitz swim trunks and he looks like a beefy swimmer. :)
Edit: When Cindy Lauper got rid of Captain Lou Albano, her career was over. Captain Lou was the key!

No that was his peak condition in terms of bf levels. It goes to show infact how much less impressive he looks super ripper - granted its in 1980 but i wonder had he come in say to the shredded standard of today holding the mass of 74' would he be that impressive or appear flat?
-
times were different then...the judging and everything so maybe if arnold shot for a look any different than what he origanlly had, maybe he wouldn't have ever done so good. But who am i kidding...its arnold he could probably come and dethrone ronnie.

Less impressive when looking super ripped?...........
I think you're forgeting the fact that in 1980 he was retired for 5 years!!! went down to 210-15 for a few years (drug free)............. and then he trained for a few months prior the O.
So If u put his 1980 condition with 1974 mass ............
A correr fanaticos!!!!

What is the point of those last pics? None show him in his best condition.

Uh, no they weren't. Commando was in 1985. Predator was 1987 and Red Heat was 1988.
Arnold best post 1980 movie condition imo was Terminator 1. He weighed 240 pounds (the heaviest he'd been since the mid 1970's and the heaviest he'd ever weigh again).
-
His best condition was '73, 1980 was at the end of the list.

Those are all from '73

Behind Terminator/T2, The Running Man is my favorite. Next in line would be Total Recall, Commando and Twins.
