Weider gave him the title "The King Of Bodybuilders". Ross was featured in many of the Weider magazine , back in the day, selling Weider equipment. And with Ross following Weider workout training principles . with Papa Joe personally guiding Ross through every workout.  Total BS, of course.

Most BB'ers of that era (late 40's/early 50's) follow those full body workouts, but usually only 3 or 4 sets per exercise.  And usually the 10-12 rep range.

Ross had the ideal frame and development that the average man (at that time) would like to have. Nothing too freaky, but muscle balance.  The Weider magazines were a prime example of giving false measurements to the BB'er they supported. though most muscle mags did at the time..like even now. Lot of 16 1/2 to 17" arms passing off as 18" to 19". . Boosted sells for the Weider muscle building courses.courses

Ross, a classic bodybuilder, and one of the best of his era. RIP.
