Title: Levrone (1997 compared to 2002)
Post by: Danimal77 on May 29, 2014, 01:31:45 AM
Check out this comparison of a 2002 Levrone (side chest) and then these 2 from 1997. Dude lost so much size it's sick.

When you want to beat freaks like Yates or Coleman you must be always ON. Then you have chance to win when the are off. 1997 Kevin would beat 2002 Ronnie. Kevin was not coming at his best since 1998 and when you are not your best and yates or coleman are off you still not good enough to beat them.

What's scary is he was still benching 405 for 12 reps in the 2002 version

Of course he lost his size... take away the drugs and he's a mere mortal.

Notice how he always squints his eyes when posed in front of the mirror.

But where is he now?
He is a bald, broke twink regretting all the drugs he has taken and the time he has wasted with a poor choice in careers...

He was pretty jacked in the videos someone posted recently. Didn't watch it, I'd rather stick my balls in a blender than hear his ramblings, but his arms were big.

You're right about the rest.

In my opinion, around 1997 is where Levrone's overall physique started going downhill... Blockier than ever, upper body overpowering lower body, smaller legs, all arms and shoulders... Through early 90s he mantained a pretty high standard, peaking at the 1992 and 1995 Olympia, with also some great and comparable ASC and GP showings... From '97 on, irreversible downhill...

I must say, it probably doesn't feel good knowing that the accumulation of drug-induced damage remains... even though the world-class body is long gone.

Sorry, your right-
Just checked Forbes 400 and he's checked in at number 255...
All kidding aside-what is his job? Where does he derive his income from?
And not just him, but half of these guys that fill themselves up with drugs and try to peddle supps...
At the end of the day, they are a bunch of druggie losers, living week to week, hand to mouth, perpetrating the whole time like they are athletes, or are living some kind of dream...Its a great farce, as I see it-

+1. I've been saying that for years. Been a huge fan of Kevin's, ever since 1991. Was always hoping he'd win the title just once. He damn well deserved to. Same thing can be said for Shawn Ray. Flex was just too inconsistent and Nasser was only good for a couple of years.

losers like yourself are all the same.. you lie to yourselves endlessly.

you tell yourselves that the steroid users 'regret all the drugs they've taken', when in reality, very few ever have any problems.

and kev's gotta full head of hair.

twink? compared to what? other pros?.. again, lying to yourself.

time he's wasted? compared to what? what else could he have done with his life? (besides running cocaine in speedboats up and down the east coast Miami vice style) kev's not a 'bright' guy, bodybuilding paid his bills for many years, and most likely continues to pay his bills. sure, he could 'sing', but nobody's making a career out of fronting Creed and Pearl Jam cover bands.

it's been 20yrs since he took 2nd at the Mr O, and he STILL has people talking about him.. he's STILL doing seminars.

you ever heard the term "get in where you fit in"? well, that's what he's doing, still... I suggest you do the same, or not, and continue to be a bitter little man who nobody likes.

I agree that Levrone, at his best, beats the crap outta that Heath character. No two ways about it.

Guy was simply unreal.

Levrone at his best was one of THE BEST of all time and was Arnold's personal favorite. Listen to his 1994 commentary when Kevin was posing and eventually won the overall. That version of Kevin was pretty light at somewhere between 230-240 (right after his pec surgery), but in great shape, beating out Vince Taylor, Chris Cormier and Porter Cottrel if I'm not mistaken.

Bitter little man that no one likes? ;D
I say the things I say because naturally, I'm bigger than him-Off the drugs hes a twink- And its twats like yourself that put these retards on a pedestal, where, if you were a rational sane person, you would see these morons for what they are-Druggies, drug dealers, liars, convicts, etc...
There's no hate here, just brains and honesty and bewilderment....bewilder ed at folks such as yourself that can't see these wastes of humanity for anything more than what they are-
Very few have problems?  ::) C'mon man-that just outright denial-
Now your calling him a singer? Are you talking about that dogshit failure of a band, Fullblown?
Thanks mate, for making me laugh this morning! Cheers!

Levrone is probably my favorite bber of all time. Even though he was pretty insane and did some nutty things regarding his approach (if the stories are true). He still made a solid career and he also made some decent moves outside bodybuilding and inside with supplement industries and publishing industries. I am sure he does better than most who have come and gone before him.

I thought Levrone cycled on and off the drugs. He probably avoided a lot of health problems by not staying on indefinitely.

Yup. He would get off his cycle after the Grand Prix's and only start seriously cycling 3 months before a competition (either the Arnold or the Mr. O). He'd bulk up to 265-275 pounds and then lose anywhere from 10-45 pounds (depending what years we're talking about here).
