It's obvious that steroids make you age super fast.
Why?

It's obvious that steroids make you age super fast.
Why?
Maybe because you are abusing them, as in dosing too high. Steroids in the proper dose actually promote good health and counter some of the aging process.
-
Some of the "aging" is temporary and reversible. Ever see a guy who has been on a lot of stuff for a long time go completely off for 4-5 months?
It just the way androgens affect the muscles and skin and water retention in the face.

It all depends on the dosage, look at how good Zane looks, or how Serge Nubret looked at 70.

Depends on a person.
Both of them look about 30, yet JJ is over 40, Henry is close to it or 40 already..

is this the new official ANABOLICHALO gimmick ???

You forgot to say: "It must be a gimmick"

One of the mechanisms thru which steroids work, is that they cause a massive increase in IGF-1.
IGF-1 rapidly increases the division rate of cells, including muscles cells, hence the ability to grow and repair at a much accelerated rate, leading to big gains in muscles.
Of course the downside of this rapidly increasing rate of division is that you are effectively aging yourself faster. Over time as cells divide you introduce more "mistakes" in the DNA as each cell divides. These cumulative mistakes are what contributes to aging as you move from a collection of health cells to unhealthy cells.
Obviously there are other factors at play from a cosmetic perspective, constant sunbed use to maintain color, someone of African descent will not look as bad as someone of European descent as their skin can come with UV damage more effectively.
The dosages used, diet, genes, general lifestyle, these all play a part but fundamentally there is no getting around the fact at the base level steroids age you faster.

That's one of the theories, tho' it's not so simple and one-sided, at least with humans. Nematodes, mice, etc... - there are evidence for igf-1 pro aging action, but there've been contraictory findings recently too so it's quite difficult to tell for sure...
And skin aging may be a very hereditary/genetic thing anyway.. Some people look old at 25, while some very young at 40, tho' that doesn't tell all about the real state of their biological age.

What is this magic dose?

What is this magic dose?
This varies from person to person. I'm on TRT and it hasn't aged me, just the opposite. In fact, TRT has been shown to have some very positive health affects on people who need a testosterone boost.

Nope.
Long living people do not stick a needle in their ass to make their body look different than nature intended.
Read books, don't smoke, don't be gay, eat well, drink moderately and avoid recreational drugs.
Exercise moderately, every injury takes time off of your life.
That's it.
The secret to a long life. But, then again you might just have a bad heart in which case you are fucked.
Good luck, Boss.
-
it isnt the 'steroids' that age you. they are used in longevity clinics. its the type that ages you, and possibly dosage. tren ages you greatly.
-
A "longevity clinic" is just a short lived drug dealer.
Any 100 year old men working out in your gym?

Nature wants you dead by 40. Science (including exogenous hormones) has extended our lives tremendously, where people are living past 100! The problem is abuse. As soon as you start abusing something you get negative effects, death included. Be sensible, listen to your doc (and use your brain to filter out the bullshit, they're human too), and you'll live a long and happy life.

it speaks to the cosmetic appeal of using anabolics to look younger.
apparently you're too obtuse to make the connection.

I am a normally pretty healthy about to be 70 year old man with a fairly good heart who has suffered almost no injuries, eats well, fairly well read, doesn't do drugs, quit smoking at 29, has exercised all of my adult life and who injects 150 mg of test per week, per my doctor's prescription. Am I doing something wrong? Oh yeah, it's the bisexual thing that will do me in right? Come see me in 20 years when you are still a kid and I am probably wearing Depends. LOL!
-
This
I dunno... 1 amp of Sten a week when I was 17/18 made me look 30. (sten = 75mg cyp and 25mg prop). lol
shit... I got carded a couple years ago and the lady thought my id was fake because she thought I was in my mid 40's. (I can see why she was working the midnight shift at walgreens on a Tuesday night.. with her excellent customer service skills)
when I go off everything, I look 15yrs younger. lol.

I'm not believing a word of it, but that nature wants you dead has me thinking.

"Naturalism" paradigma is a very wrong one. Nature intended us to get cancer and many more, it doesn't mean it's positive. Nature is not perfect, hasn't been perfect ever, and it intended us to live to about 30yo afterall, everything else after that (or even earlier) is a genome on "auto pilot", somehow trying to cope and stay on course. Hormones and other substances can help or can do harm, it DEPENDS...

ago is just a number

If nature wants us dead by 30 or 40 there's no one to look after offspring unless you get your kids when you're 15
Or you get kids with a 15 year old girl when you're 45ish
:o
-
Skinaging due to steroiduse depends a lot on race.

Well people actually bred very early back in the day and that short life span was enough to make sure that just fittest offspring survived. They didn't care about finishing a college, getting a job and being a "proper citizen and human being" lol... it was more important whether you can kill well and not get killed.
It's our times phenomenon - living way over 30.

Nature can't want anything. "Mother Nature" is just a term not a real being....or in this case a God or some kind of Voodoo princess. Also you don't "get" kids like you get sick or get a car, you have intercourse with someone of the opposite sex which sometimes produces a baby.

Yes, way over 30. People today are living more than twice and sometimes three times as long as that.

Peoples' life expectancy was slightly lower than it currently is in the past, but not by much. Most people died during childbirth or early childhood which gives you the 'life expectancy at birth' stats. If you managed to stay alive past early childhood you could expect to live a long life. ie 60+

You better believe Mother Nature is "REAL"

That is even counting in the infant death rate back then. Some may've lived quite long, but that was a rare exception, not a norm. A few thousand years ago that may've been feasible, but the more back we go, the less chances for an older person to susrvive in a wild nature.
