how is that any different than an event sponsor having a sponsored competitor at that event?

It's not that different but Kai Greene's sponsors - MuscleMeds and Flex magazine are not sponsors of the Olympia.
Kai will never win.

Nothing compared to that same competitor running a show with one of the judges.

Hitler was a bodybuilder?

Phil heath will probably win because he is the best on stage.
last year wasnt close across the four rounds nor was 2011. 2012 maybe closer but he still deserved to win.
I find him annoying and agree he is a bit narrow but overall best bber. No cheating needed yet.

Gifted Nutrition has yet to release a single product or make a sale yet meaning they have zero marketshare. Musclemeds has significantly greater market share in comparison.
According to your hypothesis. It wouldn't be difficult for MuscleMeds to sponsor the contest for a few million dollars considering the eyeballs they would have on their brand thanks to Kai becoming Mr. Olympia.
Now of course, this logic is flawed because the contest is judged and you are suggesting that bribery takes place which does not happen at all at a major contest. Im shocked you would even suggest such foolishness would take place within such an upstanding organization like the IFBB.
And besides...we all know Gifted Nutrition could not afford to sponsor the contest for a few million dollars considering they have not released a single product yet and their title athlete has a bag and shoe habit worse than most celebrity women which eats away at their margins I'm sure.
