Hes coming to save the day!
-
He'd probably do quite well at a team like Newcastle and get them challenging for a top 6 finish.
He's probably out of his depth at anything above that level though.
-
Moyes is a good manager, the problem with us is the manager doesn't get final say in who gets signed... Not many top managers would allow that situation
We will struggle all season as we don't have a real number 9
-
No way top6. Top 10 maybe.
-
Newcastle is a poison chalace
they will sell all your good players
bring in players that you havent asked for
fortunately for alan pardew he is in to mike ashton for about 2 million worth of casino debt
hence the contract untill 2020
mike would have to write that money off if he sacked him

Moyes got Everton in and around the top 6 and they were nowhere near that before he joined.
Not saying its certain he could do the same with Newcastle but he definitely can make them into a decent(ish) team.

Im an Everton fan so im aware of Moyes achievements but Newcastle don't have the owners and that Everton do. For a start Evertons owner cares about the club.
-
Wont do fuck all while we got fat ashley in charge.
-
I will say this most passionate atmosphere I ever experience was when I went to Newcastle V Everton a few years back, the one where Shearer scored the awesome volley.

theres definitely something behind the scenes with mike ashley and pards! 8 year contracts and staying in a job after headbutting an opposition player?
was a shock appointment in the first place. was sacked by then league 2 southampton.
ashley has a recruitment team in place headed by graham carr. sole objective is to scour europe for low priced talent with potentially huge sell-on value and make profits.
theres no strategy or tactical profiling on any of their signings. simply sign player with potential, let him star and make double your money in a year or two.
instead of signing players that will bed in to a method of playing and tactical set-up, they just sign flair players who they know will attract interest.
team has no identity and method to their madness. just a random group of 11 players assembled to make a profit for the owner.
pardew wont lose his job because he doesnt cause a fuss and rock the boat. for him to lose his job he'll have to do something unthinkable or go on an extremely poor run of form where relegation is probable.

no chance moyes will take the newcastle job. anyone who does has to be ashley's puppet.
was surprised he wasnt offered the celtic job in the summer.
reckon alan irvine will get the sack before christmas and moyes might get the WBA job. Irvine decent coach, not manager. they made the same mistake with steve clarke.
irvine really is a bemusing appointment. especially when neil lennon and oscar garcia were available.

Its a shame for newcastle, we could fill a 80, 000 with a good team, always bewilders me when inveters circle clubs with small followings
Ashley has a great buisness model, buyplayers cheap, double the price and sell them on... longas we stay up, he's happy.... Obviously the fans aren't too happy about it, its just luck when they uncover a few gems that prop us up, such as cabaye or ba
-
Nope, it wasn't just Moyes that got Everton to top 6 it was the system in place from the owner all the way down. Moyes on his own is just an ok manager. Don't forget how long it took him to get Everton to top 6.

Moyes was United's greatest ever manager.
Did a grand job during his year in charge. :D

Yes was such a shame to see him go, I would have donated towards his wages to keep him another season ;D

Shame it only lasted a season. The fun I had winding up all my glory hunting mates who I'm sure by the end were contemplating switching allegiances to City or Chelsea.
;D

Maybe they can lure Uncle Harry away from wherever he is these days.

Wrong personality for a club that won't let manager have a say on transfer policy.

I can see some clubs not giving the manager final authority...but are you saying the manager doesn't even get to offer any input?
