When I lived in Vegas I was poor so that wasn't a problem. I worked out at the Gold's listed. Now I go to Vegas every year and never leave the casinos.

COACH, HUMBLE, etal, TOO much info here ... but .....
Flex's new gym is located in the vicinity of Blue Diamond Road (exact address unknown by myself at this time.)
Blue Diamond is the road that runs from the south Las Vegas Blvd to the desert town of Pahrump.
If you know where the Silverton Hotel/Casino is located, Blue Diamond runs along the backside of that facility and you can possibly(?) see the Silverton in the nearby background of one of Flex's videos while he is talking outside of the gym.
It's interesting that "Dragon's Lair" is also the name of one of the gift shops in one of the Strip Casinos and is also the name of an outfit which specializes in the captive breeding and sales of monitor lizards, Green Tree Pythons and new Calidonian geckos, both of which I have been told are in Vegas but may be closed down due to the pandemic.
I should also say that EOS is open big time here in Vegas and doing great business (parking lots always packed) and the newest EOS gym/club(?) recently opened on Blue Diamond with $10/month memberships.
My unprofessional guess is that Flex's DRAGON'S LAIR will cater to top notch competitors within any sporting endeavor ..... Local, national, and international as well.
And that EOS will continue to be a big success if their membership fees reamain stable. (Presently $10/month.)

GREGZ, Every gym here in VEGAS has a bodybuilding cafe or a tanning salon or a supplement store or all three within the same commercial area merely steps away from the gym's front door but ....... it seems that Dragon's Lair is situated within a big warehouse type complex which may not offer the small square footage that each of the above requires.

It's Iris and Hide's gym. Milos is planning to frequent it since he has moved to Vegas.
They haven't given the location but I looked at that tour clip: at 6:11 there's a Midas, a tile store, and trucks marked Genesis Furniture in the background. A little search for Genesis led me to 1950 S. Rainbow off of W. Oakey.

I live about 5 minutes form Flex’s new gym. On the plus side, it’s in a really convenient location right off the freeway. The bad news is it’s $250.00 down & then $150.00 a month. He was doing a pre-sale where it was $125.00 a month and I think $125.00 down lol.
It’s not even 24hr access and I think for that kind of money it should be. Especially in Vegas

Interesting to hear that Flex is charging high membership fees while other gyms in the LV area are presently as low as $10/month.
The closest gym to Dragon's Lair is roughly one-mile away (EOS which I believe bought out all Gold's Gym locations). This is a brand new facility in a new commercial complex on Blue Diamond Road with a pool, decent equipment, and an
aerobics room within a 'movie theater'. Present membership fee is $10/month and the huge parking lot is always crowded.
But...... I am sure that the Dragon's Lair will be of interest to the more professional group of 'athletes' such as members of the Raider's and other high end heavy lifting enthusiasts.

Many people nowadays don't know the details, but Milos is the first one to invite Flex, back in 2005 to come to California, stay in his house, train in his Koloseum Gym, and signed him up to endorse his Supplement Line "Koloseum Nutritional Sciences" (KNS).

Gyms like planet fitness are smart, they are one of the few that are successful, even 24 hour fitness, LA, lifetime, all struggling
These hardcore gyms, if you are in it for business and success, how many of those are even profitable
Destination Dallas here has switched a few owners already, started off as metro flex originally, but been through a handful of owners and I reckon will go through more in the future

It’s not a very big gym at all either. He’s got lots of pro bodybuilders training there daily with more coming. It’s for the dreamers and wanna-bes to pay to train there. Combine that with the tourists and the gym should be just fine.

There are not enough "hardcore" lifters that are willing to pay a retarded amount of money to keep them afloat.

The gym is small.... it’s not designed for lots of people. Its got a cap on memberships and will go private if it effects Flex and the others training.
You guys act like Flex is opening a huge franchise gym in the suburbs somewhere. He’s also not doing this as his major source of income. You can also cater to a niche group easily in this town. Hardly any gyms ever close here. In fact it’s just the opposite. No matter what side of town you live, there’s numerous options for gyms. But there’s nothing like what Flex is doing.
Hide and Iris are going to be doing the more traditional gym, a powerhouse franchise opening soon. And he’ll have Milos there too. Lift Factory is hardcore and doing just fine here too. You guys are underestimating the dreamers, wannabe pros and tourists. No one is in Cali anymore, they’re all coming here now.
If you don’t live here, you guys just don’t know what you’re talking about.

Last time I was in Vegas I got straight off the plane from a long overseas trip, from a connect in LA. Had a huge night out, and went to the gym after a big night out and a breakfast with far higher carbs than I am used to (pancakes and other shit).
Anyhow, I went to the gym and was pumped and vascular as fuck! Veins etc popping out all over the place. Very obvious others were looking at me.
Had to pull out the phone and capture some pix which I hardly ever do to capture the moment.
My theory is that I was dehydrated from the flight, and all the alcohol and coke etc the night prior, and then my body just super fast absorbed all the sugars from breakfast. Combine that with good lighting and flattering mirrors and BOOM! So I kind of did a competition peak prep, without even realizing it!

Flex had a nice deal going with the Dragon's lair gym down here in Boca. He would do seminars and people would pay through the nose to attend them.

A lot of the hardcore gyms should have applied for one of the many PPP loans that started coming out last year. That might have saved some of them.
Had a buddy in Houston with a bar with small restaurant offering who got two PPP loans for the past 14 months.
Do miss my Vegas trips.

Going to Vegas for a vacation in about four weeks. Thinking about staying at Harrah's. They have a typical crap hotel gym. Any gyms nearby within walking distance? Any casino on the strip have a workable gym?
Worst gym I have ever seen was in a small hotel I stayed two years ago in South Beach Miami. Never seen anything like it. It had to be 7 feet by 7 feet if that. Had a junky all in one gym contraption. Dumbbells to 25lbs and a treadmill. I made the best of it till another guy came in and I left. Too crowed. It really was the worst gym I have ever seen in a hotel. The actual hotel was nice though in every other respect.

Most if not all hotel gyms are crap but you don't need much to have a great workout and usually you will be the only one there.

Staying at Caesars. I actually changed my hotel because of the gym situation. Caesars seemed to have a better gym than Harrah's. I will make the best of what they provide.

OLDTIMER, How long will you be in Vegas?
I'm supposed to be in Canada to check out some movie locations on the tundra, but would like to meet ya if I'm not up thar.
I don't know how familiar you are with Vegas but here are some suggestions.
#1 I'm not familiar with today's Caesars gym setup, but they used to have one of the finest spa type setups in the universe, but that was when you could fine-dine with Caesar and Cleopatra in Caesar's palace while getting a back massage while eating Steak and Lobster and all the shit that went with it for 30 bucks or thereabouts.
#2. If you enjoy the slot machines ... set your ass down at a BUFFELO machine but if you don't get a BONUS within a $40 risk ... get your ass outta there and give WOLF RUN a try. (I seldom lose at either of those machines unless I get greedy.)
#3. If you want a great meal at a cheap price .... Take a walk one block east along Flamingo and 'fine-dine' where the locals gather in Ellis Island. Ellis has four GREAT dining spots but you should give two of them a definite try. The best is the coffee shop (I forget the name but it isn't the Front Yard .. which is also good but more expensive). In the 'coffee shop ... they serve damn good Fish And Chips but substitute some cole-slaw for the chips for a better meal).
And if you want the best baby backs in town, show up in line before 4:30 at the Baby Back Rib/Chicken place. You ain't gonna regret it .... unless you are a Vegan.
And get a Players Club Card if you want to save a few bucks on your dinner tab.
BlackJack in Ellis pays 3-2 unlike 6-5 on the Strip.
I do not recommend any table games on the Strip.
#3. And if you don't mind a possible punch in the nose or two ....give Back Stage Bar a try. It's midway down Flamingo between the Strip and Koval and worth a visit.
If you were in the Corps, some inebriated souls will cover your tab no matter how many $3 beers you consume. And if you are the kind of individual who needs to loosen up a bit before entering a den of inequities walk next door fill on up with a couple packs of MJ Gummie Bears.

But remember that conceiled carry is legal here ... so if think someone deserves a punch in the nose .... simply ask,"Are you carrying?.
If he or she says, "Yes, it'll be to your advantage to offer the nest round of drinks.!"

And Hide just listed prices for his new Powerhouse Gym. If you pay in advance, $600/year plus $39.99 annual fee. If it's a good gym, that's a fair price. More expensive than the chain gyms, but half the price of Dragon's Lair.

JAMES, Thanks for the above POWERHOUSE info. To be honest ... I was not aware that they had already opened but their monthly fee of approx $50 sure beats the hell out of Dragon's Lair ... but doesn't come close to the EOS $20/month fee.
EOS is a 24 hour operation with good equipment, a swimming pool, sauna, whirlpool, aerobics theater, showers, etc .... and at $20 a month ... that's hard to beat and tough competition. It's always full and te parking lot is packed.
And the EOS closest to Dragon's has a decent protein/health-food restaurant right next door.
It will be interesting to see which facilities are still in business next year.

I should have mentioned this earlier but .... Your medical insurance may cover in full your gym membership ... but only at a few fitness 'centers'.
EOS is one such gym and 24 Hour is another ...... both of which accept med plan membership.

Really doesn’t seem like it is. There’s just a ton of gyms here. Unless you go to Flex’s place, which is not a big place at all, you don’t see bodybuilders at all the gyms.
Iris and Hides place has a lot of bodybuilders too, but it’s cramped and laid out weird. Traffic is brutal in the area it’s at too.
We do have lots of jacked guys at nearly every gym in town, but there’s way fewer competitors here than IG or YouTube would let you believe.
