Title: Are people just relying on supplements for gains?
Post by: Quickerblade on February 16, 2006, 04:50:34 AM
Lets face it its a billion-dollar industry, its starts at high-school instead of eating solid food like fish, chicken, beef, rice they go straight to GNC and buy whatever is recommended, i can guarantee the salesperson is not saying "only have this if your not eating enough food"

People should be sticking with the ABC's for results not only is it proven but it saves alot of $$$$

speak on this

I have been there done that---------and I found out in 35 years of training that creatine is the best supplement I have ever tried, and still use on a regular basis.

I went all out on the 6 meals a day thing with tons of protein powder and all that stuff, and I have found that the only thing it did was lighten my wallet. I had worked up to between 200 and 300 grams of protein a day, at a body weight of 195-200 lbs.

I am back up to the best I have been, and did it with no supplements whatsoever except creatine. If you eat clean, you should be fine.

I dont even count protein grams, some days I may get 150 grams, other days I may only get 50 grams -------and guess what ? I still make the same gains as when I was ingesting all that protein !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is what it is !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My secret is taking about 50g glutamine, 60g creatine, flaxseed oil, NO2, Gakic, and no more than 40g protein per day.  Drink at most 16oz water and easy does it on the carbs...no more than 50g per day, all simple carbs should do.  Hope this helps.

True, but 1-AD (prohormone) works very well.
